March 15, 1985
Stock up on one of the most perennially popular and bestselling novels in recent years.

“On June 4, the body of a young woman surfaced from 300 feet of water in Lake Placid, New York. Because of the depth and the intense cold of the water, the body, which was determined by medical examiners to have been submerged for 20 years, was remarkably well-preserved. Authorities concluded that her death had been violent.”

Now, two decades later, someone must pay. And for Dave Powell, his loving wife, their little girl and all those close to them, the ordeal is about to begin....

I really enjoyed the book. This book got me hooked into mysteries. The story is very engaging, I couldn't put it down. The story leads you through lots of turns and twists and gets you in the end. Highly enjoyable read!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good and engaging suspense, April 9, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Dancehall (Paperback)
The storyline was very engaging. Extraordinary suspense and very well developed characters. The descriptions of the surroundings and the ambience are probably some of the best I have ever read in mystery books. Uncanny ability to transport the reader to the scene into the plot. My only dissapointment was the end felt rush. With his writing talent, I would had expected a fenomenal psychological and trial courtroom drama ("Pressumed Inoccent" type). I am looking forward to read more of Mr. Conners's work. Definitely a great mistery writer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Kept the pages turning, July 9, 2004
This review is from: Dancehall (Paperback)
I bought this book while I was camping in Lake Placid. I have to admit that I was I was intrigued and surprised by the ending. Throughout the entire book I thought one character murdered the young girl and it was not until the end that it all came together. Good pacing and definately worth your time.
