For the tone alone, if you love electric guitar !,

You sometimes have to wonder about these reviewers for"consumer guides" who have obvious disdain and no knowledgeof hard rock. But the voice of the people will always prevail. This was without a doubt the proof beyond all that Lita could wield a might axe. The production on this, the second album of her solo career brought a balanced mix, with guitar right to the fore. There is a consistency of tone to Lita's guitar rarely found after Van Halen's debut. The rhythms just cruise and propel while the leads cut clean through the din. If you don't believe check the audio samples for proof. This album also introduced the world to Randy Castillo and it's easy to hear what brought him to Ozzy's attention. Lita by this point had tightened up her writing and found her voice convincingly and this album was rightly heralded as one of the greats of American metal. Wake the dead with loud guitars indeed! Get this while it's in print!

One of the bet rock albums ever!,

This is one of my all time favorite albums! The rhythms are crunchy, and the leads are sizzling! What more could you ask for? I wish all of her albums were availible on CD (hint, hint). And Hey! Could someone put all of her rock videos on a DVD so we could buy them?

Lita's finest hour. one of the 15 best metal albums of 1984!,
By Bass player Brad "Rad Metal Brad" (NJ, Linden) - See all my reviews

If you want to hear Lita at her best, then this is the album for you. After years with the Runaways and her first solo album in 1983, Lita finally hits the mark. The guitar playing is tight and impressive, and Lita's vocals sound much better on this cd than her first one.
This cd starts out with Gotta Let Go, which is a true 80's metal song at it's best(Should have been included on Lita's Greatest Hits).A great chorus and exciting guitar work. Track 2.Dancin on the Edge keeps the fast pace moving along. Tracks 3 and 4 are great standouts as well. The entire album is very solid and done perfectly. If you want Lita at her best and the prime of 80's metal pick up this album it rocks! It's well worth buying for under 35 dollars.
