One of the best 70s soul groups ever, known for unforgettable classics like "I'll Be Around" and "Games People Play," the Spinners (like many others in the late 70s) took the chance of trying to cash in on the disco craze, and in this case, it definitely was a good idea. Best known for the smash hit "Working My Way Back To You/Forgive Me Girl" (the first half of which is a cover of a Frankie Valli & The 4 Seasons song), there's also some tasty disco juice in selections like "Body Language" and "With My Eyes."

So why is this out of print? This album, Dancin' And Lovin' by The Spinners is one of the best albums releases in 1979. Way back then, I heard "Medley" on the radio and ran down to Pay N Save to buy the 45 single. If my memory serves me correctly, the song was too long to fit on one side, so part 2 was put on the flipside. Wow, those were the days. "Medley" isn't the only AWESOME song on this record. The other five tunes (yes, there are only 6 tracks) still sound fresh and hopping today. Rhino, as usual, does an excellent job when doing reissues. There are no ballads on the disc at all, so play the whole CD at a party! Each song is about 6 minutes long, none are abridged. 1979 was such a great year for dance music. Do yourself a favor ... look at Billboard's charts for that year and buy all the albums! 1999-2000 were great for dance albums as well.

This is the best of the spinners with john edwards.At the height of disco the producer michael zager(lets all chant!)came up with the great idea of remaking the four seasons classic working my way back to you and forgive me girl.I realy like body languge another great song in other words if you are a spinners fan or just love good dance music this is a cd you will enjoy!.
