Mediocre book, July 20, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Dancing with the Devil: Information Technology and the New Competition in Higher Education (Jossey-Bass Higher and Adult Education Series) (Paperback)
This book is a collection of essays. While the authors are indeed quite credible, the content leaves much to be desired. The book is long on problems, and short on solutions. Moreover, difficult topics, such as strategic outsourcing, surviving information warfare, designing a new staffing profile, choosing which private sector practices to adopt and which to avoid, and issues of institutional leadership are mostly ignored. This isn't a bad book; I just didn't learn anything new from it.
