Dragon Wicca 101,
By blackrose "rosendubh" (Philadelphia, PA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dancing with Dragons: Invoke Their Ageless Wisdom & Power (Paperback)
I was attracted to this book because of the artwork and because of a love of/fascination with dragons... however, I was rather disappointed. I found the first couple of chapters about the history of dragons to be interesting. But once it got to the rituals I couldn't help thinking this was yet another Wicca 101 rewrite of every other book she's written - with dragon names thrown in where she would put an element in one book, of a Celtic god in another. I will say I did buy the Celtic Dragon tarot deck she was involved in... but mostly just because the art is fantastic.

Dancing With Dragons,
By Kai "erynn55" (Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dancing with Dragons: Invoke Their Ageless Wisdom & Power (Paperback)
The topics presented in this book were relitively new to the community when this book was published, and, after using the information presented here I find that most of it makes wonderful fiction. I have done several years of private research with dragons (both astral and otherwise) and have found her information to be flawed in several respects. For example- her insistance that a 'gong' is a required ritual tool. This book; however, is not without merit. It has a fairly good overview of dragon-myth (nothing too shocking or obscure, however) and some excellent guided meditations. I would be cautious about trying to identify dragons with her little 'Guide To The Astral Dragon' propaganda- I do not feel comfortable with these definitions and have noticed that the dragons I have dealt with do not either. They are generally private individuals- and do not appreciate so much of their lore and culture being published in such a way. Same goes with her 'Dragon Writing'. Do your research first.

Egads.. another book of crap.,
By Anqui (Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dancing with Dragons: Invoke Their Ageless Wisdom & Power (Paperback)
I bought this book, having had it recommended by a friend.. but, it turned out to be a waste of money. The art was nice, and I would like some more specific labels as to where the art came from.. but the information.. now that was definately faulty. To pick a few points, dragons don't specifically enjoy/want to help/find it necissary to help anyone. They don't all enjoy dancing. They have varying sizes, and full grown dragons CAN be smaller than tigers. Christians aren't the only people to make dragons evil, but other cultures usually didn't have all dragons as being evil. The chinese colour for west is not blue, its white, blue is north-east. They have 8 directions, not including the center. Dragons do not have any need to respect a sword or any other weapon, being astral beings, a physical weapon cannot harm them, though when a dragon soul is born in a physical body (ie; a human) they would respect weapons.. as would anyone else. Dragons are not necissarily elemental, and usually can work with most/all elements. There are hundreds apon thousands of draconic scripts, and not all dragons are literate.. and whats with the gong thing?
