Review

"...This is an excellent journey through Peruvian cosmology and how we can incorporate it into our lives. I enjoyed my own travels through this book and learning about the shamanic experience and reality, something that I was unfamiliar with. It was a very compelling read and I found myself wandering the Internet and visiting YouTube to find out more about this Andean philosophy. The most interesting thing for me was seeing how people empowered themselves and chose the direction of their own lives by working with the spiritual principles outlined in the book. There were many opportunities to pause, reflect, and work through these principles while reading. It was as if the individual reader could create their own map or pathway to enlightenment. I would recommend purchasing the book as opposed to the Kindle version if one wishes to use this work as a tool for self-discovery or healing. This is a life changing book and as the author states, "we can choose our own emotional or energetic paths, the same way we choose our physical career or life paths." In the back of the book there is a glossary of Quechuan terms, a listing of Shamanic healing terms, additional work sheets, and fascinating spiritual references. " --D. Fowler "Dragonfly 77"

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Reference -- Easy to read -- Down to earth! March 19, 2010
Format:Perfect Paperback
I'll preface with the fact that I'm not a believer in a lot of the ancient philosophies of life that are very trendy and presently rebranded as 'new age'. Whenever I read books on them, they inevitably turn into a muddle of intertwined, self-serving nonsense on the part of the writer.

That is not the case here.

Teri's book is easy-to-read, and logically put together. You don't have to believe in what is written to get something out of it. It's a terrific way of getting a clear understanding of the philosophy that is the background to most new age spirituality. Want to know what a 'Chakra' is? Just read the book.

It's also brought down-to-earth with advice that, whether you're a Christian, an Atheist or something in-between, that makes sense. Don't waste food in a restaurant. Do something nice for others. Etc.

It's a very refreshing read. Like I said earlier, I normally wouldn't read this type of book. But I did, and I'm glad.

Nice job Teri!

5.0 out of 5 stars Not normally what I read but glad I did March 21, 2010
Format:Perfect Paperback
I'm a 'guy' and not all that much into spirituality and self help. But I came across a copy of Dancing in Your Bubble.. and I found some interesting ideas in there. The book is handy for dealing with every day life and seeing those things with a different approach. And sometimes those give some really good aha's about life. Whether you just want to read and get a different way of looking at something, or you really like the idea of spending more time with the exercises and activities.. the book is useful and enjoyable. You can tell the writer really knows her stuff, and makes the information easy to follow. It isn't just a bunch of information.. she really breaks it down so that you can use it to change your own life.

One of the most helpful, most down-to-earth self-help books that I have ever read. This book helped me in dealing with myself as well as others. If you have doubts about getting this book, forget them!
