5.0 out of 5 stars Hang on a minute...
The reviewer who claims this is not a King Harvest song is incorrect. It was written by Sherman Kelly who played keyboards in the band. Just thought I'd set the record straight... it's such a great song he deserves the credit.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great song, poor album...
"Dancing in the Moonlight" is a fantastic song. The rest of this album is pretty lame. If you have the chance to buy the song on a "Best of 70's" cd or something, you might be better off. I couldn't find one, that's why I bought this. Not sorry, because I do love the song D_I_T_M, and it was worth the price of the CD. Just don't expect much else to...

3.0 out of 5 stars hate buying an album for one song, July 7, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Dancing in the Moonlight: Golden Classics Edition (Audio CD)
"Dancing in the Moonlight" has haunted me since 72-ish when it first came out - every time i hear it, evokes a certain mood and feeling that transports me back in time. I finally broke down and bought the CD just to get "DITML" - and I'm glad that was my expectation when i bought it, that it would be for 1 song. I was right - "DITML" is everything I remembered, the other songs are completely forgettable, and not worthy of my listening time. I gave it 3 stars - 5 stars for one song, 0 for the others. Does anyone know of a 70's compilation album that "DITML" is on?

3.0 out of 5 stars other sources for the one good song, October 8, 2002
By A Customer

There is at least one other cd where one can find "Dancing In the Moonlight" and also get other GOOD songs from the 1970's. I'm not sure which volume number it's on, but DITM is on one of Rhino's "Have a Nice Day/Super Hits of the 70's" discs. It's on one of the higher numbered ones, even though it's from earlier in the decade; Rhino apparently came by the licensing rights (or just decided to include the song) later on in the series, as they did a few other early 70's titles which appeared near the end of that 25-disc series.

3.0 out of 5 stars Moonlight is the Best, November 13, 2000

I bought this (vinyl) album way back when I was a teenager and had to scrape together money to buy music. Of course, I bought it for Dancing In The Moonlight, but to make sure I got my money's worth, I also listened to the rest of the album--alot, and it kind of grew on me. DITM is by far the best, and one of my all time favorite songs, but some of the other songs are kinda cute and funky too. But, when all is said and done, buy it for DITM or not at all...sorry King Harvest.

I have to agree totally with the reviewer who says this song takes you back to 1972. It's one of those rare songs that brings on the feeling of the time all the way

4.0 out of 5 stars One Hit Wonder, plus some pretty good stuff!, February 6, 2006
This review is from: Dancing in the Moonlight: Golden Classics Edition (Audio CD)
I bought this for "Dancing The Moonlight", one of the best bits of pop music from the early 70's. The disc was well worth the price for just this song, but the rest is pretty good too. "Think I'd Better Wait..." is particularly good, as well as the intrumental "Motor Job". Don't stoop to the "Have a Nice Day" collection for "Dancing In The Moonlight", get the real album and broaden your musical basis.

Like the previous reviewers said, it's worth the price of the CD to have the song DITM, but don't expect much from the rest of the CD.

I bought it for the one song. Yeah you know the one "Dancing in the Moonlight". I found it later as a free, non pirated download on their myspace music profile. But as for delivery and such, I got it and in good condition too.
