Waiting on the "real" album...,
This review is from: Dancing to the Music In My Head - EP (Amazon Exclusive) (MP3 Download)
If you love or like Sanjaya, you should buy it.
If you hate Sanjaya and want to make fun of him, you should buy it. If you are unsure about Sanjaya, you should buy it because it is cheap so you won't lose much if you dislike it. The best song on the album is "Rainy Days". That psuedo latin sound and depressed feel! Very nice, cool groove. "Quintessential Lullaby" is also interesting, unique. "Tell Me Who I Am" is a joke... It is funny though. In the song he sings about how a lot of haters don't really know the real him even though they think they do. I am pretty sure he is singing badly on purpose on the song to emphasis the meaning. "A Guy Like Me" and "I Got It For You" are good songs for the teen fans as they are rather boy-bandish. I hope this is just the beginning and I hear more from Sanjaya in the future. I recommend only listening to it on high quality equipment because the sound quality is such that you cannot get the full sound effect on lower quality equipment. (I changed my review because I do not think I explained how I feel about the EP well enough.)

A Rare Pleasure....,
By Jordan Heyman (Georgia) - See all my reviews

I am amazed at how many people "just don't get it" - this guy is a truly unique and special talent who deserves to be loved and respected for his artistry. His music is not cookie cutter pop music like everything else on the radio, but it is overflowing with energy and heartfelt emotion. Buy it and savor every note. You will not regret it....

Refreshingly Honest,

I'm amazed at the amount of energy some reviewers expend hating on Sanjaya - you would think they would have better things to do than to rip on a kid who is just doing his thing. Personally I find the songs on his EP to be refreshingly honest. Unlike so many "Idols" he isn't trying to be anything other than he is. These songs are a must for those of you who loved him for his personality and enjoyed what he brought to the competition - fun!

My Favorite Idol EVER!!!,
By
This review is from: Dancing to the Music In My Head - EP (Amazon Exclusive) (MP3 Download)
Sanjaya is my favorite idol contestant on American idol ever. I have been waiting for this album since he was on idol. It was really worth the wait. I don't care what people say he is very talented and he really stays true to himself and his culture. I think that is very admirable. I hope he comes out with more music. I like every song on the Album my favorites are "A guy like me", "tell me who I am" and "I got it for you". This Album shows his true talent. You can tell he worked really hard on this album and gave it his all. He will always be my favorite AI contestant. I think the critics are very wrong. They don't give him the credit he deserves. I think many will enjoy this album. You should give it a chance and put your prejudice against him aside and at least get the free song. I would give this album 10 stars if I could. This album is great. Its incredible how much he stood to himself and didn't chance his personality and how his album doesn't sound like every other contestants album. Its not a cookie cutter pop album. Its unique and its truly Sanjaya Malakar!!! Good job Sanjaya!!! Great Album!!!

Pretty good!!!,

Rainy days and Quintessential Lullaby are as good as anything on the radio today. They sound original unlike factory produced pop. The guys giving bad reviews are just reflecting their own failures in music careers. Its pretty impressive accomplishmemnt for a guy without the help of recording company back up.

I like what Sanjaya has done with this. I have always liked Sanjaya and I find it disturbing still that adults have such ugly things to say about this young man who has proven he has the guts to make it in the business. Remember Blake Lewis? I don't. This is good for his first release and I feel it will only get better. I am buying this as well as the book.

Give Him A Chance,

When Sanjaya, was on AI, I truly enjoyed him. Isnt it interesting that William H., could sell a million plus? records and someone is saying Sanjaya is the worst yet. HE IS NOT. I thoroughly enjoyed and put my money where my typing skills are. What was that guys name that came in second with Jordin Sparks, that spit into the mic and you people gave him second place over Melinda Doolittle, no less.
The only song I don't care for is the free one, but the others are really nice and that is why I put my money out. I truly enjoy Sanjaya, he is refreshing and those of you who don't like him, don't like him because he does have talent and you don't. He has showmanship and is clean cut and truly enjoys himself. GIVE HIM A CHANCE.

I bought the Sanjaya CD about a week ago from Amazon and listened to it in my car driving to and from work. The more I heard the songs, the more I liked them and found myself humming them.
I am rating this CD 5 stars. I also love the art work on the cover and the notes inside from Sanjaya. The Sanjaya haters will obviously rate this 1 star...no surprise there. They will never give him credit for being in the top 10 on American Idol and making a CD.
