This book was my first introduction to Kwame Alexander's poetry, and I'm thankful to have found it. With words that rock to a rhythm all his own, Alexander captures the feeling of being in love, being dumped, being a dad, and being alive.
This is a poet who is also a gifted presenter. His visit to our middle school left the kids wanting more, more, more poetry and shouting out their own verses in the halls. |
