Unique Sound, Interesting Songwriting and Musically Talented!!, January 7, 2011
This review is from: Dancing On The Gallows (MP3 Download)
Indie country isn't something I normally go out to the store to buy, even on a rainy day (and we get a lot of those here in the NW). So, when I saw this 5-piece Los Angeles posse live during their most recent tour, I was simply blown away by their genuine musical talent and interesting songwriting. This CD, being their sophomore effort following the release of "The Arsonist" (also fantastic) is well produced and features many unique sounds and styles blended together into something that's so authentic. This is a rock band ladies and gentlemen, first and foremost! The musical melting pot of talent that makes up Rose's Pawn Shop brings together subtle rockabilly rhythms with Celtic flare, occasional bluegrass flavor and a hint of Texas honky-tonk. The result is a sound that really can't be described, but MUST be experienced. It's unique, worthwhile and when live, ferocious and fun!
