Darby Checketts’ newest book is “Dancing in Peanut Butter.” Its subtitle is “How to Handle 100 Stressful, Silly, Stifling Things That Can Happen at School, at Work, and at Home.” The premise of the book is that “stuff happens” in life and some of the stuff is especially sticky stuff. Peanut butter is great on a piece of bread with jam or jelly. It is not helpful on the dance floor, in the classroom, in the conference room, or in the family room. “Dancing in Peanut Butter” is a great resource for students, youth counselors, work team leaders, parents, grandparents, and all others who are helping their friends, family, and work associates avoid the peanut butter dance. The book is the basis for community-based workshops to help individuals develop those “life skills” that can represent peanut butter repellent or peanut butter solvent. It explores 100 colorful, real-life situations and invites the reader to think and think again about how to minimize the peanut butter in your quest to find the light, discover the joy, and unlock the potential to make a difference.
