"a courageous journy through mental illness...should be helpful to students of Psychology and Psychiatry..." -- Theresa Craig Independant Publisher Magazine Jan/Feb 99
And because I know there is a common thread of experience that links us all as parts drawn into the whole. Therefore my experience and yours must converge at some place in time. I do not know when that will be but I know it must happen. I believe the time has come finally in this new age for old ideas that have rigidly defined reality in terms of consensual agreement be jettisoned from the collective mind. Dancing with the serpent is an attempt to relinquish some of those old ideas. Those awful fears and guilts and shamings that lie buried in the subconscious soil of each one of us....the new age before us speaks of a universal consciousness of love and unconditional abundance....but there is still work to do...we are the children of a higher age...but not yet fully the children of light we were meant to be....I pray my story may highlight the source and substance of some of the ancient demons that now need be put to rest.....

Riveting!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Dancing with the Serpent (Paperback)
The author's candid revelation of her life with bipolar disorder and its affects makes this book both useful and entertaining. Her writing style makes it a pleasure to read. The metaphysical/spiritual aspect of her beliefs about the cause of bipolar disorder gives the book a value beyond that of her fascinating journey.Dancing with the Serpent gave me a greater understanding of the disorder: the difficulty of getting a correct diagnosis, the mental states the person with this disorder goes through, and an inspiring explanation of its cause. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has bipolar disorder, and to their family and friends.

Worthwhile but not impressive,
By Vivian Sophia Burns (Fremont, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dancing with the Serpent (Paperback)
Interesting but disjointed story, not really very well written. Too heavy-handed with the God stuff. I'm not convinced that she has gained much insight through her journey; just learned to take her medication. Displays the manic mind quite effectively.

your Brother and Attention points- The soultion,
By Richard A Martin (Colorado Springs CO) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dancing with the Serpent (Paperback)
Patty, Drugs and espically LSD losen or allow the attention points to float -These attention points are briefly hinted at in Carlos Castanada -Dreaming occures due to fluctiations in the attention points. all the attention points are accuretly docummented in the Jewish works of Kabbalah - kundulini is real but not exsplanable untill you experience it -- The only real cure after the normal attention points have been loosened up is to achieve real self mastery and internal control of the senses !!! All medication can do is attempt to dull or reduce the floating IE movement of the attention points. You first of all have to know how the mechinism works - Richard A Martin/Bloise 719 495-5826 11585 Dallas Rd Peyton CO 80831
