4.0 out of 5 stars Finally!!!!, July 1, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Dancing With St Peter (Audio CD)
Finally, Phil Mogg has found the key! After years of trying to make the magic happen again with Schenker and Way, Phil Mogg has found a core of three young talented musicians to Rock to the new millenium. Don't get me wrong. I love Schenker and Way and grew up in the 70's kicking ... to UFO, but as these guys grew apart, so did their writing talents as a team. Kollman on guitar
hits home with his techniques that are very similar to Schenker and actually a little bit of Trower as well. This guy loves to crank and hit the wah wah pedal to perfection. And the new bass player will give the Big Boy bassist a definite run for their money. I highly recomend this CD for those who A) Love the "Rock Bottom" days of UFO and B) those who love well produced music. Keep it up Phil from one old fart rocker to another!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Kiss Michael Schenker goodbye!, June 13, 2003

My opinion this is the best thing Phil Moog has ever done without Schenker. Jeff Kollman is awesome. This CD sounds like a mix of early Ufo(Mick Bolton) and Ufo with Schenker. The rythym section is outstanding. Phil hasn't sounded this good since Lights Out. Seems to Me is the best love ballad since Try Me. Every song is great. My other favorites are Driven, Dancing with St Peter and Beautiful Friend. If Phil and Jeff keep producing music like this I don't care if there is another Ufo.

3.0 out of 5 stars Be Interesting To See Where $ign of 4 go...., January 22, 2003

While not as lyrically or sonically sound as UFO-Sharks, this release from frontman Phil Mogg backed by a band of fresh blood definitely falls into its own category. UFO fans will be pleased by 'Driven', 'Overload' and 'Song Keeps Coming'. All will be astounded and pleasantly surprised by 'Clap Hands', a Tom Waits cover that is served up with a slow build and willing fervor. The highlight of the album has to be 'Las Meadows Sanctum Divine' which lyrically reminds one that life is short and the good times must be LIVED to be enjoyed, if not remembered. If they make a go of it, $ign of 4 will prove an interesting band to watch.
