5.0 out of 5 stars Wheelchair users can do this!!!!!!
This game is hilarious fun! The main skill challenge is rhythm matching - pretty much all upper body - though dancing along can help you keep time. Here's my main point: I was surprised and delighted to find that my husband can play this from his wheelchair! We can "dance" together with the 2-player games and he beats my score every time! I just thought people should know...

2.0 out of 5 stars Misleading product video
Ok I purchased this game based on the product video attached to the listing. I had a Groove Pad for the Wii that my family received for Christmas however we didn't have a game to use it with. I saw Dancing With The Stars We Dance! and after watching the video (which clearly shows a picture of a dance pad) I decided to buy the game. I thought it would be a fun game for my...

Here's my main point: I was surprised and delighted to find that my husband can play this from his wheelchair! We can "dance" together with the 2-player games and he beats my score every time! I just thought people should know that this game is fully playable for those with major disabilities. All you need is the ability to control your arms and to see the screen - even the hearing impaired can play!

2.0 out of 5 stars Misleading product video, April 2, 2009

Ok I purchased this game based on the product video attached to the listing. I had a Groove Pad for the Wii that my family received for Christmas however we didn't have a game to use it with. I saw Dancing With The Stars We Dance! and after watching the video (which clearly shows a picture of a dance pad) I decided to buy the game. I thought it would be a fun game for my wife and I to try and not be as kid-centric as Dance Dance Revolution is. Well you can imagine my surprise when I read through the instructions and found that the game does not support a dance pad! I don't know why Amazon has this video attached to the listing. At the end of the video the game box is not even for the same game! I didn't realize this until after I revisited the listing. I am not very happy but that will teach me. I need to make sure that the information in the Amazon listings is 100% correct before I purchase something.

4.0 out of 5 stars A lot of fun, but it does NOT need a dance mat, January 2, 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Dancing with the Stars: We Dance! (Video Game)
"Dancing with the Stars" is a fun game with great songs and easy gameplay. All you have to be able to do is shake the wiimote and nunckuk.

Story-The only story is that you are entering the DWTS show as a celebrity or a pro dancer (your choice). You dance to four songs to try to win. You start with eight celebrities, and after each song two are eliminated. You, of course, could be eliminated if you aren't good enough.

Graphics-They are actually good. They are cartoon-like, but they are good. The dancers move well, and they do actual dance steps. It's really like a dance from the show! The only thing is, if you mess up, your character dancing doesn't.

Sound-The songs are very nice, popular songs. With everything from Mony Mony to Lady Marmalade, they are really nice and match the dance styles.

Gameplay-Onscreen, there are arrows on the right side (for the wiimote) and arrows on the left side (for the nunckuk). You shake the wiimote/nunchuk in the direction of the arrow (right, left, up, down). You can get everything from perfect to bad to just plain missing it. At the end of the dance, the three judges give a score of 1 to 10. Some of the arrows are flair moves (they have dots around them), and if you hit these, Bruno will like your dance. If you get perfect moves, Carrie Ann will like it. There are also moves called guesture moves. With these moves, you stop moving to the arrows to do moves like "Raise the Roof" and "The Twist" with the wiimote and nunchuk. These impress Len. There are about 8-10 couples, and each have an amateur and professional level. The songs and dances are the same for each level, but on professional they are a bit harder. By the way, you can play with multiple people if you want.

Fun-The songs are a lot of fun and the moves with the wiimote and nunchuk are fun, as well. That is why I play the game over and over. They are easy enough for kids to elders, and they are fun, fun, fun!

Length-It won't take long for you to finish all of the songs, but you will probably want to play them again and again. Like I said, there aren't that many songs, and that is why I took off a star.

Overall, this is definitely worth $20-$30, and I recommend it even if you aren't a fan of the show. There is NO dance mat, and all you need are your arms, but you can really throw yourself into this and have a good time. If you like to dance, get this game!

4.0 out of 5 stars Lot of fun, January 12, 2009

This game is a lot of fun. You need to have a wireless nunchuck. I find some of the moves are difficult with the wired nunchuck. Definately worth buying.

2.0 out of 5 stars This game is FUN to WATCH but NOT FUN to PLAY! Because you have to use Wii remote and Nunchuck not the DANCE PAD., January 4, 2009

This game is FUN to WATCH but NOT FUN to PLAY! It's because you have to use Wii remote and Nunchuck not the DANCE PAD. So, it does not make you feel like real dancing. No wonder Dance Dance Revolution is the best seller of dancing games.

I was so excited for this game to arrive, only to find out it doesn't require the dance mat or dancing at all. The video is totally misleading. This game is awful.

3.0 out of 5 stars I Wouldn't Have Purchased This Had I Known, December 26, 2009

It's an OK game. I thought a game with "dancing" in the title, would include something involving your feet. Nope. I was disappointed to find that this game was mainly moving and shaking the remote and nunchuck to match the direction of arrows moving on the screen. I wouldn't have purchased it for myself had I known that was all it was. I think I will pass it on to a young niece or nephew. At least it is a non-violent game for them to play. However, I am doubtful it will hold their attention for long.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst game ever- I beat it and returned it in 2 hours, April 15, 2010
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Dancing with the Stars: We Dance! (Video Game)
I just bought a wii. It is my first gaming system ever (I'm 35) so I'm not a very good gamer. I have the wii fit plus-ok. Just Dance- Love it. So I thought I would like more dancing games since fit plus doens't have much cardio. I also like to belly dance and have always swam and danced for fitness. Thankfully I bought it used at a local Game Stop. I got it home. It was boring. No movement except your arms and hands. Half the time it did not register my hand movements. I played it on difficult- did all the routines and "won" in just over 2 hours. Unfortunately I really wasn't tired. Just Dance makes me tired in 30-40 minutes. I took it back the next day and was able to get all my money back. The only good thing about the whole situation. Please don't waste your money.

I thought this was more like the just dance game, but copying the moves from DWTS but no, the couple in the screen is dancing like they do in the show, but you are just moving your hands up and down an right and left and sometimes you shake them, and little more, I have not played it that much, but don't seem to be much more.
