This review is from: Dancing Through The Darkness: The Cognitive Treatment of Shame (Paperback)
Dr. Steffen, a licensed clinical psychologist, is the author of this in-depth yet easy-to-understand book. Dr. Steffen begins by defining shame and identifying some of its sources. She discusses the effects of feelings of shame on different aspects of one's life. Finally, she offers some introspective exercises to help people work through and overcome shame to find peace and self-forgiveness. A good book to help people self-analyze their emotions.

Dealing with difficult emotional issues are one of the hardest accomplishments we can gift to ourselves and Clare Steffen's book is one of the best gifts I've given to myself. Her easy "how to steps" took me from a walk in a dark forest to a delicate dance with my own soul. Health is an inner joyfulness that should be ours all the time and when we find the courage to heal an inner wound we gift to the world a new being. Ms. Steffen's book offers this and much more.
