The Peclican Pointe series keeps getting better and better!!! I have loved all three books, but this one is the best one yet; a story to be savored! Cord and Keegan show that out of darkness, trauma, grief and heartache can come hope, love, and second chances. Though I've never been to the Pacific Northwest, the beautiful descripitions make me want to visit and I think all of us wish for a real life Pelican Pointe! This genre is not even my normal taste in reading so when I picked up the first one, I was a bit hesitant but I am so glad I took a chance! Yes, it's romance but it is not the shallow, fluffly stuff of most romance novels...it is deep, warm, moving and with a good dose of suspense thrown in. If you've never read Pelican Pointe, buy all three at once because you will want to read them all and I sure hope there is another one coming :) In a world filled with turmoil, it is wonderful to escape to a place where despite heartache and suffering, good does indeed triumph over evil.

This author knows how to combine so many aspects...friendship...love...mystery...mental health...small towns. If this town were real i would move there...she makes it real. I love how Scott-our friendly ghost stays around and visits and has helped in all three of these books. I hope there is a fourth. This is a fantastic book to read and become emmerced in. You feel what they feel...and laugh and cry with them. Learning to deal with loss..remembering the 'real' not the 'protected remembered' -all with PTSD from being the survivor in a shooting and wondering why....suicide attempts....life worth living? So much more. Vickie knows her characters and lets them be themselves. Truely a great read as are all the series. Definently ' keepers.'

Ms McKeehan has a winner of a series in her Pelican Pointe novels. The characters are both likeable and believable. The plot flows well, and grabbed this reader. Ms McKeehan has edited and proofed this work, so there are none of the grammatical errors found in so many novels lately. There are enough interactions with characters from #1 and #2 in this series that I'd strongly suggest reading them in order.

I do hope she has #4 in the final polishing stages so it'll be available soon.

But it doesn't stop there, The psycho ex-boyfriend is now looking for Cord and will not stop till he find him.

Dancing Tides (A Pelican Pointe Novel)
I have enjoyed reading all the previous Pelican Pointe novels and have really enjoyed reading the newest novel Dancing Tides. I urge Vickie to continue writing and adding to this series. Describing the small community of Pelican Pointe with its 3000 residents brings forth a vivid video of what this community is all about and all the characters are captured in full vivid motion video. You can smell the flowers and the ocean as they are described here, The two main new characters Keegan and Cord, you feel their sorrows, pain, and love as though you are a twin to each character. The subject of PTSD was done well and spot on.

I will say that out of the series so far this one is the best. It was a beautifully written story about loss, healing, and love. The fact that the author brings in characters from previous books that you fell in love with into this one makes you feel like it's a more concise story. Looking forward to the next one.

At least it's new to me and I am really enjouying it. Darn Kindle makes it too easy to buy the other books by this author and I've broken the budget for this month and next. I like ghosts that hang around for love not because they have no where else to go.
