5.0 out of 5 stars Very Nicely Done
I am very pleased with the sequel. I was so disappointed with the way the first book ended. This second book put everything in perspective. The characters were alive and very moving. I felt like I was right there with them. The best thing is you see how a wrong can be made right no matter how bad it is. Forgiveness is the best medicine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Book, December 29, 2007
This review is from: The Dancing Willow Tree (Paperback)
This is one of my favorite books. I waited so long for it to become available. I stayed up all night reading it. Ms Jones gives all families in tumult hope. I was happy the way the book ended but do hope she will write a sequel. I would like to follow the families into the third generation. This is one of those special books that one hopes will never end.

First you need to read book one Rehoboth Road and then this one, but you will not want to put this either book done until you have finished the very last page, they will keep you going and believe me before you finish you will be calling your friends to tell them aboutthese two books. Take my advice and get these two books.

This book was very inspirational. It showed the forgiveness and the hurt shared by the characters. It felt like the story was real to me. I have her new book and cant wait to read it. Ms Ballard-Jones had me asking myself do i know these people and what church did they belong too..Truly a good read and would highly recommend this book to all.

This was a great book. It was the sequel to REHOBOTH ROAD. In this book, everything finally comes to a head. You find out how two young boys grew up and how they dealt with Reverand Oliver. Other family issues also come to light.

5.0 out of 5 stars worth your time..., December 20, 2008
This review is from: The Dancing Willow Tree (Paperback)
This book picks up with the lives from Rehobeth Road. Everyone is older now and things really start to change. The pastor has to answer for his sins from his childhood; the father has to answer to the abandonment of his child; a son has to answer for his sordid lifestyle and all of this is centered around a heinous act. This story line shows us that all actions have repercussions that sometimes last a lifetime. Although bad things happen to good people, and bad things happen to bad people, it's the good that comes from it that keeps the balance in the world.

This is a terrific book to read, an awesome sequel. Anita makes you feel like you know the characters in this book, they are alive. There are some surprises too. This book needs a sequel, in other words, a sequel to a sequel.

4.0 out of 5 stars Forgiveness on overload!, June 22, 2010

This review is from: The Dancing Willow Tree (Paperback)
The members of Turning Pages Book Club, anxiously anticipated the sequel to the outstandingly written and heart wrenching story,"Rehoboth Road",however after reading this story line we were rather disappointed in the amount of forgiveness for such a horrendous crime committed by a Minister who is suppose to be a leader, not only in the church but the community, since he was also an educator. The fact that the minister was not arrested is shocking or as the one of the members stated, it seemed "surreal".
Because of the excitement with the first book and then to read the sequel which spanned over a 36 year period which was a little strange also, to confront someone about a confession to such a horrendous crime committed on a child after 36 years seemed very strange, would you really have waited that long?
Also we questioned why the down low part in the book, why was it necessary, it really did not have anything to do with the story line.
However, we were glad to see that Elizabeth finally get vindicated and to see the strength of the women in the story as they reunited with each other and fought together for respect and the truth.
Not as good as the original by far, but we are cheerfully anticipating the next book by Ms.Ballard-Jones, because we truly enjoy her great writing style.
