This THE ultimate 4th of July song, July 4, 2009
This review is from: Dandelion (MP3 Download)
Antje, the ultimate singer-songwriter, is at her absolute best in this wonderful passionate fiery song.
She writes and sings --
"Well, I am the Fourth of July
I'm throwing you a fire in the sky
You could go blind in my light
But you were looking for an orchid
And I will always be a dandelion"
Antje sings of giving herself totally . . . only not to be good enough.
How totally wrong she is! Plus, dandelions are MY favorite flower . . . as I expect they are for all kids symbolizing regeneration every spring. Just try, you pompous "French" gardeners with your manicured lawns to keep dandelions at bay. And what pray tell are orchids good for? While they may be long lasting and elegant, but have no fire, no spark . . . as this great song does.
Well, done Antje!
And, oh by the way,
IKS NAY IKS NAY
ON THE ANT-JAY
WHY DONTCA WONTCHA
JUST SAY ANTCHA!
"foever wild" . . . "a forest fire"
Isn't "Dandelion" the ultimate fourth of July independence day song. Isn't American a bit rough around the edges but unquenchable?
Too bad Antje didn't name it the "Fourth of July".
