About the Author
A native of Houston, Texas, Liz Lillard now enjoys the good life on the Emerald Coast of the Florida Panhandle. She created Close Your Eyes after graduating from the University of North Alabama in Florence. Swamp Snobs and DandiLion soon followed.
The publication of The Lizard Tale Collection brings to full circle her life-long passion of communicating with children. As a teenager she worked with children in church activities and especially enjoyed teaching children on her church’s mission trips. Her volunteer work includes working with children and adults with Cerebral Palsy and with autistic children.
Ms. Lillard recently opened The Lost Market, an artists’ co-op just north of Perdido Key, Florida. Featured in the shop are colorful displays of the books, as well as original art, prints and Lizard Tales T-shirts. Her work and participation in arts and crafts shows carries her from Dauphin Island, a historic barrier island at the mouth of the Mobile Bay, to the Destin-Fort Walton area in Florida.
