I bought this dvd for my boyfriend after we were unable to see Dane perform live when he was in town. Tickets were like $70 each and my b.f. couldn't get off work that night. So when it came out on dvd I was pretty excited, I thought we could try again. SOOOOO disappointing (and I'm a Dane Cook fan). This dvd is seriously like 30 minutes of crude sex jokes and like 20 minutes of stupid banter i.e. Dane's interviews. It was way too short and, surprisingly, not very funny. I was actually glad that we weren't able to see him live after watching this because it would have been a huge waste of money. I'm not trying to be a hater I usually really enjoy his work. I just feel gypped that I spent almost $20 on this when I could have just as easily watched it on Netflix and returned it, no harm no foul... well...other than the fact that either way I can never get those 30 minutes of my life back, lol.

We've been listening to (and watching) Dane Cook since long before he decided to become an actor; we're big fans of "Harmful if Swallowed" - but on this DVD, the comedy goes from funny to sad to offensive. "Isolated Incident" has a handful of funny moments, but we were so disgusted by the rest of Dane's material by the 30% mark that we shut it off. Whether it was getting really political (so half the country stops enjoying your comedy) or giggling about rape and elder abuse, this set just wasn't enjoyable for us. Better luck next time, Mr. Cook.

Dane Cook's performance on this DVD has him standing on a small stage (unlike the giant arenas where his latest stuff is done) which took away from his act. I like him best on the big stages because his humor is funniest when he has space to be physically animated. Fans of his will know what I mean by this. I also found his material to be mediocre compared to the many other performances of his that I have seen. It did entertain but just not on the level of most of his work.

Dane Cook has always been a comedian that went 'out there' to provide humor and provided animated moves and outrageous comments sometimes to keep people entertained and to latch onto and keep the attention of his audience. He doesn't differ from that line during this show, but he knows what his audience likes, so he knows how many different angles and points to touch upon during his show. A bit of change in this tour/dvd is that he makes a point to talk about his personal life, losing his parents, which I admired. He let his audience in on a bit of his life not a lot of people had heard about, or understood. He let us in on that part of his life that meant the most to him, and I'm amazed he shared it with us, but glad he did. A lot of his fans heard of his tragic event, and, well, he let us in on a piece of it, so we could relate and understand how he went through that turmoil. Humor got him through that, which is why he has been so strong through all of his work, even after he lost both of his parents. It's his therapy, its his life. :) I have an upmost profound respect for Cook since seeing him live, I hope to again soon.

I like Dane Cook. This DVD was not funny. It was in poor taste. Lame sex jokes. My husband and I didn't even want to share this with anyone. He threw it away.

This was a waste of money! Not funny at all just rude, Don't know what happened to him I have always liked him before this.

It was funny but not his best work. I like his other stand up video better. But still loved this one.

DVD was absolutely awesome! So glad I bought this along with Viscious Circle! New material I haven't heard before! Great buy if your a Cook fan!

I really love this DVD I love the audience and how it's not a huge coliseum.
I used to listen to Dane all the time and I kind of forgot about him for a while, but this DVD definitely makes me wish I kept up with what he was doing. It's hilarious and his new material will definitely make anyone laugh, or maybe blush.

Controversial, yes. Funny, most definitely. Not for the faint of heart though because Dane tackles many taboo subjects; which is why I loved this so much. I've said it before and I'll say it again, one must see the funny side of a situation, or something, to get the full perspective. Without it (the comedic side) we don't see the whole picture. I love this show. He is fearless and histerical as always.
