4.0 out of 5 stars Very good relation price/quality
This pedal offers a very dirty distortion, perfect to play thrash metal, but not heavy metal. I would not recomend this pedal for solo, cause high notes sound very nassal and very thin. However to play that chunky sound (i.e: metallica's kill'em all) is perfect. It has a lot of gain, but its not very vesatile, but for the price is the better out there. I have read some...

3.0 out of 5 stars its just ok nothing great
Sounds were ok , easy to use. BUT I did notice a little back noise or hum when this device is connected to my amp. plugged my behringer back in and no back noise so I guess they use a little cheaper hardware... this noise is not noticeable when playing but sure is when guitar sits idle....

I have read some reviews about the low reliability, i had it like 2 months and work perfectly.

Conclusion: Very cheap and i would recomend it for beginners whose amp doesn't have too much gain to play metal stuff.

this little thing is real cheap and for the price is very good, i have read a review complaining about that is no battery in the package but is no trouble a have a lot o rechargeables, about the radio interference there is none in my case, sure is not the best pedal in the market but it has a good sound for the price is a perfect choice for beginers, the thing that make me buy it was that you can hear it in de Dano web page if you like the sound like i did buy it, you will have no remorse.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Pedal Rocks!, December 27, 2005
This review is from: Danelectro D-3 Fab Metal Effects Pedal (Electronics)
In my opinion, I THINK THIS PEDAL RULZ! It has an awesome sound

and it is really easy 2 use. Even though it did not include a power source, I just picked up a 9V @ Dollar General for a dollar. 5 Stars, Easy.

A nice cheap metal distortion. I've had it a little over a month now, and it is a great addition to my pedal board. Can't beat the price!

Don't expect too much, but for this money you will never find better. You can also combine with other pedals and you will find the sound you like.
That's why I give solid 4 stars to this pedal. Just go ahead... and rock it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Metal fix for poor musicians, September 16, 2007
This review is from: Danelectro D-3 Fab Metal Effects Pedal (Electronics)
I use this pedal with a guitar sound on my keytar/sound module combo, and I really gott'a say, this is a GREAT pedal for its price. Although the knobs "tone" and "gain" do little for first-time musicians that want to rip out face-melters right away, once those knobs are figured out (treble-y vs. bass-y, distortion level), you have a GREAT little pedal with a LOT of power.

Just don't leave ANY cords in the input when you're done, the vampire energy it saps away will drain batteries (It runs on 9v's) quickly. Of course, if you're using a wall wart, you can chug, chang, facemelt and solo until your house runs out of power!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pedal for low budget!!, January 5, 2008
This review is from: Danelectro D-3 Fab Metal Effects Pedal (Electronics)
I had a Behringer Tube Distortion pedal that I used to think sounded great. I paid thirty dollars for it online and it took me several months to figure out what I had been missing. Even with Ibanez cheap stock pickups, I found that, just by turning the gain knob, you go from Sweet Child O' Mine distortion to Crazy Train metal sounds. Two totally different styles of distortion and this pedal nailed them. I have used Boss pedals before and it's true that they are higher quality. But they are also about $80-$100 more. So if you are on a short supply of cash but want some great rock distortion, this is definetly your best bet.

Another little interesting thing about this pedal is that it has a blue LED light that can actually be used as effect lighting. It gives off a cool eerie glow that, while not making the pedal perform any better, adds another degree of coolness to this pedal.

This pedal creates an enormous, impressive, high-notes-that-squeal sound. It is incredible and packs such a tremendous punch! You will never want to play without it again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Was good at first, September 14, 2011

Well I got this pedal because it was cheep and all the reviews were good so i thought hmmm. this could be good. but no I was wrong. it may have just been a mine but at first it was amazing, then after a few days it started to sound funny when i turned the tone past a fourth of the way up, kind of like electricity, that's the best i could describe it. but now it is always sounding like that. I would say don't get this product.
