Product Description

The Danelctro Honeytone N-10 Guitar Mini Amp is a little hot rod that can crank, and it has a great clean or overdriven sound. The Honeytone amp also features a real leather handle, belt clip, headphone jack, volume, tone, and overdrive controls. The Honeytone N-10 mini guitar amp is powered by 9-volt battery (included) or a Danelectro DA-1 adapter..

Customer Reviews

It has very good sound quality AND gets really loud (sound quality deteriorates at higher volume).

It's perfect to use for practice - no more neighbor complaints about sound from my guitar practice carrying from our house into theirs.

I bought the power adapter for it as well rather than relying on battery power but I'm glad it can be used either way.

I got this keeping my expectations for sound quality to be sacraficed and not expecting it to sound like a small floor amp... Bottom line, I didn't expect it to sound as good as it does. For a micro-mini amp the Danelectro is great and the price, delivery and packaging were EXCELLENT. You will not go wrong with this amp UNLESS of course your expectations exceed the purpose of this product. I bought the power adapter for it as well rather than relying on battery power but I'm glad it can be used either way. I use it with an inexpensive rubber cup pick-up and have put it to the test on a guitar, dulcimer, baritone uke and a banjo... It's great. Fills both a small living room and bedroom and has several different tone and effect settings that can be accomplished with the insturctions provided.

I use it straightforward with a slight lean to the lows... sound is 'small' but clean.

Well worth the price...

I was hesitant to purchase this mini amp, but based on the price and return policy, I decided to try it out. I am glad I did. This amp. is amazing and definitely worth the price. It's so small and light, yet creates such a pure sound.

Looks like a toy, but the tone isn't so bad. Takes a nine volt battery, and has a belt clip. Definitely worth twenty dollars, and makes it easier to play your electric guitar maybe a little more than you would otherwise. Surprisingly loud for it's size (though obviously tinny and kind of screechy) but I'm quite pleased with it.

If you're considering the Honeytone as something to amplify an acoustic or jazz guitar for low-volume practice, well, that won't work. There's basically zero clean sound available for the low register. The unavoidable raunchy distortion is somewhat pleasing if that's what you're after. It does work pretty well as a preamp for a sticks & box (satellites & subwoofer) speaker set; gives you a decent guitar amp sound that can be played clean, or raunchy. Three stars due to the lovably cute design.

I play violin in a band and other settings, usually use a preamp and hook up to a larger amp, so even though it wouldn't be loud enough in some settings/circumstances, I LOVE my amp! It's cute, the sound quality is fairly high for such a mini thing, and it's sufficient for certain rehearsals that I no longer need to lug around a ginormous amp. And yes, great for practicing at home!

I did not expect much from a $20 amp but I at least expected it to work decently...
Just plugged my guitar in and within the first strum, the speaker cut out. I don't think the speaker can handle the volume from a strum that has even just a tad bit of umph behind it. Guess I can't hope to play my guitar any louder than I do when I don't use an amp. Oh well, at least it turns on...

I bought this amp to practice in an apartment after reading all the reviews I could find and hearing it preform on Youtube. I didn't expect a lot, but I did expect it to work. For the first five minutes I had it, it exceeded my expectations. It worked and sounded far better than I had expected. Then it let me down. Volume works as does the speaker; when you turn it on, you hear the hiss, but plug your guitar into it and it still hisses. And that's all it does. No other sound. I checked my guitar and my cable and both work fine. I bought the wall adapter with this as I had heard they can sometimes have similar problems if they're on straight battery. Still nothing.
It's great if you can keep it working, but overall, I wouldn't take one if you gave it to me since I'd just have to throw it away.

I purchased this amp for my son. We noticed that after about 10 minutes of play at full volume the sound drops off, comes back and drops out again continuesly. He has to turn the amp off for a few minutes and turn it on again and it then works fine for another 10 minutes.
