5.0 out of 5 stars good value for the money
Good value for the money. I reviewed all the tea travel mugs I could find and this one had some excellent features: insulated handle on the brewing basket, snap in sipping lid (not the screw on type) and an outer lid (cap) that the brewing basket can be placed on after steeping. Well insulated, too. Another reviewer commented on the lid leaking if the mug goes sideways. I...

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute, but not as cool as it looks.
This travel mug with tea infuser seemed like a great idea at the time, but I'm finding my hopes were way higher than this mug can live up to.
Problem #1, the tea infuser - The holes are very big in this infuser, and a lot of tea leaves end up floating around in your tea, and smaller bits may even end up on your lips while drinking
Problem #2. The lid on this...

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific Tea Traveler!, September 8, 2009

I received one of these as a gift a few years ago and have since given them to several other tea-drinking friends as gifts. I've found this to be perfect for sticking in my suitcase --- I have a travel hot pot (wish I could find these somewhere to also give as gifts, mine is as old as the hills, but it's still working!) and my loose leaf tea fits in the containers that nest inside the hotpot, along with my collapsible strainer from tea spot . . . I use that in my room when I'm enjoying a cuppa' --- but when I'm out siteseeing or heading out on the road, this is the one that goes with me . . . brew it in the mug and on my way. I've had no problem with leakage --- but when picking one of these up as a gift at a local brick and mortar, I noticed that the gasket on the screw on lid wasn't seated well. Picked a different one and to date recipient has had no problems.

4.0 out of 5 stars Top is a bit leaky, January 10, 2009
This review is from: Danesco 12-Ounce Travel Mug with Tea Infuser, Grey (Kitchen)
I love the infuser with it's helpful little plastic handle, the sippy lid that stays in place when there is tea in the cup, and the lid that screws on easily, but when I had this on a trip over Christmas, it fell over, and the lid leaked. Not fun! I tested it again later, to make sure that I hadn't had the lid on wrong. No, it still leaked when it was sideways.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top Quality, November 22, 2011

This is a really sturdy product, top quality. Keeps loose tea leaves or a tea bag in the infusion for increased flavor. Sipping is a little awkward, but the overall quality and durability trumps. Thanks. Doc

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute, but not as cool as it looks., December 11, 2010
This review is from: Danesco 12-Ounce Travel Mug with Tea Infuser, Grey (Kitchen)
Problem #2. The lid on this thing is not meant to keep your drink sealed from leaks. It even says so on the tag.
Problem #3. This mug doesn't keep your beverage warm. Any time I'm using this on the go, I find my drink goes from piping hot to cold almost as quickly as when drinking from a regular open top ceramic mug. That's my biggest peeve with this product.
It's really over priced for what you're getting. It's all smoke and mirrors folks.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money, July 1, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Danesco 12-Ounce Travel Mug with Tea Infuser, Grey (Kitchen)
The mug leaked the very first time I used it and water accumulated between the plastic layers. Since I used it the one time I ended up throwing it away rather than continue to experience complete dissatisfaction with a product. I ordered a metal replacement that I am completely happy with and use daily.
