Graduated in 1983 in Architecture at Politecnico in Milan, she is the head of her architectural and design office and is responsible for architectural planning and interior decoration in Italy and worldwide. As a designer of wide experience and Art Director of Memphis and Alias from 1989 to 1993, she developed important research of artificial illumination, producing innovative concepts and products for Artemide. Such innovations have led to new performances, experiences and sensorial incentives in this arena. Until 2004 Carlotta de Bevilacqua was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Brand Strategy and Development organization within the Artemide Group, with responsibilities in the areas of Marketing, Communication and Vision and Strategic Futures. In 1999 Carlotta de Bevilacqua acquired Danese, the leader in Italian design in the 60'/70's. In a very short time, she revived it, gaining new market shares and a new leadership. Recently, Danese LTD has been funded in Hong Kong to penetrate new eastern markets. Important productive and distributive agreements have been stipulated in Canton, China.
