5.0 out of 5 stars If you missed the Absolute edition, pick this one up!, September 15, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Danger Girl: The Deluxe Edition (Hardcover)
So as far as Danger Girl collections go this one is right up there with the Absolute Edition which if you didn't get one when it first came out you'll spend an arm and leg on one now. This one is oversized, not as big as the absolute edition but bigger than the standard edition. There are about 20 new pages of sketches, prelims and covers from J. Scott Campbell of Danger Girl art done after the original collection was published along with some pictures of cosplayers dressed as Danger Girls.
If you have the Absolute edition you probably don't need this one unless you just have to have anything by J. Scott Campbell like myself.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hyperkinetic James Bond, December 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
First let me say that a book like Danger Girl is NOT for everyone. The story isn't "deep", nor will it go down as being the most original take on the spy genre. But with that being said, this book is an ABSOLUTE BLAST to read. Its fun, its action filled, and J. Scott Campbell's artwork is great. In a lot of ways it similar to a fun summer blockbuster movie in that it flies by lots of action and humor, but isn't necessarily something that you'll be talking about on a deep level any time soon. But the book also doesn't take itself seriously. It makes fun of the spy world and the cheesecake factor, and uses it to really move the story along. Overall a great read that is extremely fun. Likewise, if you're into "anime" style artwork, you'll love the work done in this book which I've always considered to be some of the best of Campbell's career.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great compendium for Danger Girl, August 24, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Danger Girl: The Deluxe Edition (Hardcover)
If you don't have any compendium for danger girls, I think this is the one to get. It is a big oversized hardcover, very nice quality paper, and you get some bonus at the end (sketches, covers, etc.). The only thing I disliked, is the 4 or 5 pages at the end dedicated to cosplay (which I found a bit silly). I wished for more sketches from J.S. Campbell instead.
