Good Old-Fashioned fun,

Sure - you loved the original run of Danger Girl, you bought the hardcover and lament the fact that it didn't last as an actual, full-fledged series. We all did. And if you're looking to follow additional adventures of Abbey Chase, Sidney Savage, Johnny Barracuda and the rest of the Danger Girl cast, this is the way to go.
Danger Girl: Odd Jobs collects the Danger Girl one-shots that have been released over the years. While series co-creator and writer Andy Hartnell returns in this volume, the artistic stylings of superstar J. Scott Campbell are sadly absent (although he does share writing credits with Hartnell on each story). This volume contains four tales - one of them a psychadelic 1960s-era romp in which the Danger Girls are a part of a Laugh-In style rock band (with art by Joe Chiodo and layouts by Campbell); in the second tale, Valerie, the group's computer genius, engages in adventurous daydreams about what it would be like to be a full-fledged member of the Danger Girl team (here, Hartnell and Campbell share writing duties with Art Adams, who also illustrates). The final two stories - one centering on a spy-romp in Hawaii and the other on a sinister supernatural plot in a casino - are illustrated by Phil Noto. While these two stories aren't mind-blowing by any means in terms of writing, Noto's art - heavy on elegant design, seemingly illustrated with pencil and flat colors (although the second story of his is colored more traditionally) more than makes up for it and completely adds to the atmosphere. While this compilation isn't for everyone, fans of the original Danger Girl series, or those just looking for a fun romp can't go wrong with this. Enjoy!

Hot chicks, dangerous situations!,

What's not to love! If you've ever read any of the Danger Girl series, this a must. Good storylines, though they're somewhat typical, but come on, this is the female version of James Bond, written by guys, of course there are going to be certain, well, interesting shots, but lots of action, and barely believable antics - this is a comic book, people...
If you like this sort of thing, which I do, definitely a good read.

I have all of these issues individually, and I must say that they're some of the more enjoyable comics I've read.
Don't prepare yourself for anything heavy or mind-blowing---no you "deep readers" this isn't Moore or Grant Morrison (thank God). It's purely action/adventure saturated with campy flair and the hottest comic-babes since...well probably since Wonder Woman lost her bicycle shorts and took on those star-spangled panties. "Danger Girl" is the cartoon series you've always wanted---and it's the television show you've always feared. Like it or love it---but take it for what it is.
