The Danger Joe Show books are a wonderful new series of early chapter books. They are the first chapter books to motivate my son to read independently, and we tried many. In fact, his teacher delighted in finding him in the coat room with his nose in a book. My son enjoys the fact that Joe Jr. often has to save his dad, the animal expert, when they are out on an adventure.
