Dale Jerningham's wife keeps having accidents! His rich, first wife fell off a mountain, and now his even wealthier new wife, Lisle must watch her every step. Surrounded my Dale's brother Rafe and his cousin, who profess to hate Lisle, she begins to fear for her life. She runs into Miss Silver in a train, and although Lisle is not a client, she follows her to the country to make sure she continues living. In the end, Lisle barely escapes with her life.
