Brief review, never read them but my 10 y.o. loooves them, April 12, 2007
This review is from: Danger! Wizard at Work! #11 (Dragon Slayers' Academy) (Paperback)
and she is so busy trying to keep up w/ schoolwork I just wanted her to have something to look forward to reading so that she would always try to squeeze recreational reading in regardless of being busy and tired--and these do the trick for her. If your child liked/likes the Droon books he/she might like these. My daughter waits impatiently for the next Droon to come out so I search for stuff for her. Not the most challenging for this age group, many of her friends read at a higher level, but for my daughter these do what I hoped they would. She really enjoys them. Good fun read, distilling my conversations with her :)
You know how you just want to read fun stuff sometimes?

Fun reading!, January 6, 2011
This review is from: Danger! Wizard at Work! #11 (Dragon Slayers' Academy) (Paperback)
My seven year old daughter LOVES this series. She is always telling us about what the characters are doing. She is a fluent reader and I was glad to see that these books have provided her interesting and fun reading.
I would give it five stars if the series included fewer books because I don't appreciate being sucked into the marketing ploy of extending the series so long. This series ends up being nearly $100, and these are not the only books she wants to read.
I would also recommend the "How to Train Your Dragon" series. The books are really different from the movie, much funnier and well written.
