2.0 out of 5 stars Well written but...
This book was well written but lacked any sort or excitement on my part reading it. I guess I never connected with either of the characters and then I just lost interest. I don't think I even finished the book. I read other reviews and I must have lot different tastes or something. Wish I had liked this one. But for the price of this book, well try the ebook version...

4.0 out of 5 stars 4.5 Blue Ribbons for BEDDING A TRAITOR by Emma Wildes, August 19, 2007
This review is from: Dangerous Beauties: Mortal Melody - Bedding a Traitor (Paperback)
Stephanie is after a traitor. Someone in a position of authority betrayed her husband and caused his death. She wants to know if the man she is now involved with is that betrayer. The more she is with him, however, the more she falls under his spell.

Daniel Kingsley doesn't know exactly what Stephanie is seeking, but he is not about to refuse her anything. He finds himself becoming more involved with her than he should and forces himself to continue thinking that her actions are suspect. No matter than she soothes his soul and body, Daniel has to remain focused to determine Stephanie's purpose.

Stephanie and Daniel each have secrets. Both know that the other is hiding something. Now if only they can keep their minds on their own agendas without being sidetracked by their mutual passion for each other.

BEDDING A TRAITOR was combustible. I found myself fully intrigued and immersed in the story from the first scene. Daniel was simply sin personified and he had me wishing for a traitor of my very own! I fully understood Stephanie's motives and found myself hoping against hope that all would be well and that both characters would find what they were searching for and be at peace.

I love well-written historical romances and BEDDING A TRAITOR was that and more. I find myself quickly becoming a fan of Emma Wildes' writing!

5.0 out of 5 stars Dangerous Beauties, July 30, 2008
This review is from: Dangerous Beauties: Mortal Melody - Bedding a Traitor (Paperback)
Susanna Holt is on a mission. Her father has died, and his final wish was for her to take a package to one of his former students, Lord Dare Fairmoor. While on her trip to Lord Fairmoor's estate she is attacked, and rescued by the handsome Lord himself.

When Dare rescues the beautiful woman he knows who she is, and he knows that her arrival brings trouble. Years ago while Dare was a student of Dr. Holt's he and several of his fellow students helped the professor decipher an ancient text that brings great power to the person who speaks the words.

But the power also brought death. And now someone is trying to tap into that power. Dare and Susanna team up with others to help battle the evil.

Mortal Melody by Emma Wildes is a wonderful gothic novel. I loved the storyline and the way it was brought to life by the wonderful characters. Susanna and Dare fit together beautifully and I loved how gentle he was with her.

Ms. Wildes has started a wonderful series with Mortal Melody, the first in the Dangerous Beauties line. I can't wait to see what the second book will bring.

5.0 out of 5 stars Polite erotic romance in a signature Regency style, July 29, 2007
This review is from: Dangerous Beauties: Mortal Melody - Bedding a Traitor (Paperback)
Emma Wildes is well known for her naughty Regencies and this collection is no exception. If you like daring spies, handsome reclusive aristocrats with unusual abilites, or just plain hot romance, these two tales will satisfy the need for a little romantic fantasy ala Wildes' stylish portrayal of British society.
