My 10-year-old son was not too happy to receive a book for Christmas. But once he started flipping through it, he thought it was pretty cool. There is such a variety of topics. My husband has even been reading it for the stories about historic battles, etc. A great book!

I love this book. I bought it as much for myself as for the boys in my life. There's all sorts of fun stuff to do and stories and good advice. The section on girls is particularly fun. Though the cover looks old, the book was written recently and is delightful. There's a similar book for girls (The Daring Book for Girls) and is equally fun.

This book is full of all those things that dads used to teach their sons in days gone by. Too few boys (and men) know these things nowadays, yet they probably wish they did. My 3 boys thoroughly enjoy(ed) this book. (There is also a companion board game of the same name -- great fun!)
