A Review of a Book that is a better BBC TV Show,

This review is from: Dangerous Davies and the Lonely Heart (Paperback)
Readers;
If you have seen the BBC series on 'Dangerous Davies" and a curious of the book, stay with the TV show. The book is barely literate, wanders hither and yon, and in one place, a character was developed, and then dropped, for no reason, tho its inclusion would have improved the book. And the books were written in the 1970, so it is fairly dated. If you can buy a copy for a dollar at a yard sale, do so. Other wise, forget it

Slow, Same Old, Same Old,

This review is from: Dangerous Davies and the Lonely Heart (Paperback)
I loved the Dangerous Davies TV show and I really enjoyed the first book and somewhat the second, but the last two books were of far lower quality. The characters and plots were less interesting and the steady drumbeat of disrespect and bad luck for Dangerous got monotonous. As much as I am indebted to Leslie Thomas for imagining this character, I really can't recommend the last two books. They were so slow that I actually began to not look forward to continuing them and just kept reading to be done.
