Adventure with an Inspiring Twist, June 12, 2010
This review is from: Dangerous Journeys (Paperback)
From the moment I started reading, my pulse quickened in time with the action. International intrigue and drama are met with shamanism and the healing power of aloha. The ancient Hawaiian Huna knowledge is woven into the story, which takes you from Waikiki, to Copenhagen, to Heidelberg, to Bavaria, and back to the Big Island. The dangerous journey occurs in both outer and inner worlds, as the main character fights off psychic assassins with the wisdom of Huna, providing insights as well as excitement for the reader. The characters and their life-threatening adventures linger with you, as do the life-enhancing examples of developing and using your personal power.
This novel made me go back and pick up King's non-fiction books, including "HUNA: Ancient Hawaiian Secrets to Modern Living," so I could better apply the seven Huna principles in overcoming my own life challenges and the challenges faced by my characters in "The Chakra Diaries."

Great book, March 25, 2010
This review is from: Dangerous Journeys (Paperback)
Serge King has an interesting tale, far superior to a Dan Brown novel. In it he weaves the ancient Huna techniques that not only inform you, but shows ways to improve your life. I loved the story, the twist at the end and all the Huna teachings. Even if you are not interested in the spiritual connection this book can give you, it is a fun and interesting novel....that is not really as fictional as you might think. I truly hope it is picked up for a movie. If done correctly it will be a box office smash! OK Mr.(Dr.)King,when is the second one coming out???

Fantasy or Fact?, October 14, 2010
This review is from: Dangerous Journeys (Paperback)
The story is just that, fiction. If you choose to read it as fiction, it'll give you a great read for your money if you like the fantasy genre.
If, however, you choose to read it as it was written, as a teaching story, it will take you much deeper. If you study energetic and shamanic practice, it's a deeply useful piece of instruction. If you are *interested* in these practices but don't yet follow them, it will open your eyes. Like all good stories, it works on many levels and the lessons stay with you longer than a description of how energy is used probably would.
Read it, enjoy it, use it on the level appropriate for you and your interests.
