I am not a fan of romance, so I was more than pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I sat down to read the first few pages one night, and ended up reading it to the end. I never came to that part where, late at night, you tell yourself you're going to close the light after this next chapter. My desire to find out what happened next, was greater than my desire to sleep. It grabs you from the first page, and never seems to let you go, even as I knew morning would come very early. It grabs you on the first page and never lets you go. I enjoyed the easy way Kristina writes, and her ability to make you feel each of the main characters. She mixes suspense and emotion very well, giving you just enough at just the right time. It's hard to believe this is her first. I'd like to say this is a great first novel, but this would make a great tenth novel.It's polished and very well written. I have no doubt we will be seeing more of Kristina Wright in the future. I know I hope to.

Wow! What an amazing debut novel! I read Dangerous Curves in one evening and hated to see the story end. This is one of the best Silhouette Intimate Moments I've read in a long time. If you like romantic suspense, you will love Dangerous Curves! It's a must read for the summer!

What an exceptional debut novel. The layers of experiences from senses to complex characters brings a level of writing more common in the seasoned author.

For those looking for a summer read, I recommend this Florida adventure that will have you on the edge of your beach towel!

If I had seen this in the bookstore, I probably would not have picked it up based on the cover and the title. I would have thought it was kind of cheesy. But I read the reviews and I have always agreed with Kristina Wright when I've read the reviews that she has written so I gave it a try. I am glad that I did. It was hard to put down. I will definitely look for more of her books in the future.

DANGEROUS CURVES is one of the best Intimate Moments to come along in some time. There's not a baby, a cowboy or an amnesiac in sight. The suspense it taut and nail-biting, without overshadowing the extremely sensual romance that develops between Samantha and Jake. This is the type of book that first attracted me to the Intimate Moments line. Realistic characters, exciting plot, wonderful setting. Kristina Wright has written a fabulous book!

After reading some of Kristina's later stories, I thought I'd take a peek at her freshman work, so to speak... pleasantly surprised to while away a couple of hours with a quick, fast-paced adventure story...

Samantha and Jack are fairly likable characters, enough flaws to be realistic, and still have a lot of "heroic" qualities. I particularly like the scene where he kisses her and says it sounded like more fun than shaking some sense into her. She needed it, too!

As I look back, I still find it hard to believe that this was a debut novel. It holds up a lot better than romantic suspense by some of the veterans of the genre.

The plot moves along at a fast pace. There are a few coincidences, but not so many that they spoil the read. The characters also fit the story well. As an added attraction, the Key West scenes are great.

My own quibble is that the villains are off stage so much of the time. That's unavoidable with this type of plot, but it's usually not my cup of tea. (I prefer stories about villains hidden within a close circle of family or friends.) If you don't mind off-stage villains, you'll like this even more than I did.

This book deserved its Golden Heart award. I gave it a B at All About Romance.

Kristina Wright's debut novel was a great read. I look forward to reading this talented authors books in the future!

Kristina Wright has done a wonderful job at combining just the right touch of romance with a "keep you on the edge of your seat" suspense story. In my opinion, this book is alot better than alot of top grossing movies I've seen!! It has just the right touch of a love story, but yet, is not the bulk of the book, which I liked. I am not a romance reader, but on a recommendation, I read this book, and loved it!! It had nothing that usually turns me off to a "Romance Novel" and everything to make me want to read more from this new author. I will be watching and waiting to see what she comes up with, next!!

Dangerous Curves opens with Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer, Samantha Martin, running through a Florida Swamp from the Happy Haven Mental Institution. Fearing for her life, she is more frightened of the people who are after her than the snakes and alligators lurking in the dark. Jake Cavanaugh is an ex-cop who threw in the towel after his best friend and partner was killed on duty. On his way home from a fishing trip, the last thing he expects on a deserted Florida highway is a woman in major trouble. He picks Samantha up, intending only to give her a ride, but when her story comes out, he pulls over at a truck stop and calls one of his cop friends to help her. But then, two gunmen arrive. They shoot the policeman, and after Jake and Samatha escape they kill the waitress and the cook, too. Now, wanted by the police as well as these hit-men, Jake and Samantha must figure out who wants her dead and exactly what she has captured on film that has made her a target. Along the way, she and Jake must face their own demons even as they uncover a government conspiracy and fall irrevocably in love with one another. Many writers find it difficult to balance suspense and romance without sacrificing one for the other. Kristina Wright is not one of those authors. This book is extraordinary! The romance is to die for, and the story is fast paced, intelligently plotted, with a suspense element that will make life-long fans for this Golden Heart winning author. Along with all of this is a sizzling sexual element that completely sells the story. Try this debut novel - you won't be disappointed!

Dangerous Curves is a lightning-paced ride, complete with adventure, suspense, and sexual tension! Order a pizza for dinner, and get videos for the kids - you won't want to lay this book down until the very last page is turned!
