This review is from: Dangerous Music Defect (Audio CD)
The band was formed in Indiana, taking influence from all the greats there including Zero Boys, Toxic Reasons and the like. They began recording for dangerous music (tracks 14-25) and then moved to Los Angeles, where they recorded tracks 26 and 27. After picking up a new new bassist and guitarist, they went on to record 'defect' which is in my mind top five of all time. When you listen to this, focus on the drums and then focus on the vocals. Now try to imagine one person doing both at the same time. I've had the pleasure of not just hearing this band but seeing them live. Kevin Huddelson drums and belts out his politically charged lyrics with every bit of power and style that you can hear on this disc, and does it equally well in person. Alas, though you may never be able to catch them live, you can still close your eyes and see Kevin flailing about, banging his skins, his head perfectly motionless and singing as if nothing else were happening. Pure talent, pure music, pure genius.
