Here's a brief run down.
Marita was engaged to Remmy, he died and it broke her heart.
Shemar was married and divorced and that broke his heart.

However, the vacation turned out to be perfect for the both of them although they had to deal with jealous friends.
Shemar tried to deny his feelings for Marita (which i thought was dumb). He really treated her bad in the beginning but i guess he realised that she was a deep person. Marita wanted to regain their friendship but Shemar made it difficult for her to do so and it created tension between them.

Later in the novel, they both realise their fondness for each other is strong and instead of denying it, they let it take over and resulted in them making passionate love.

What made this story so beautiful is the way Ms. Bussey incorporated action and envy into the plot. Pam (Shemar's "cousin", had a love for him that drove her to do anything, even hurt Marita.
Then there was Valerian, the guy who murdered Marita's fiance Remmy. He had a passion for revenge from Marita and this passion led him to conspire with Pam to kidnap Marita and allow her to be taken to a home where women's bodies are used.

This story was really sweet and exciting. I never wanted to put down this book.
If you read this book and enjoyed it, i guarantee you will enjoy "Images of Ecstasy". Also written by Ms. Bussey.

The girl got talent going on.

Romance readers will love Dangerous Passions, a fast-paced suspenseful thriller. The setting of tropical and lush Bermuda is a perfect aphrodisiac for a number of romantic encounters and rendezvous, between Marita and Shemar. This book simmers, heats-up, boils to the burning point and explodes! Marita is an authentic "damsel in distress". Shemar is the "oh-so-perfect and did I mention gorgeous knight in glistening armour". There are some wicked bad guys too........but fortunately, true and I mean true love prevails. Buy this one and keep it.

Marita has never been the same after her fiance Remmy was murdered right before her very eyes. The man the murdered the love of her life was put away. Marita tried to move on with her life. She decided to take her relative up on her offer to stay at her summer home on an island. She arrives and finds her childhood friend staying in the home also.

Shemar has always been smitten with Marita. After a failed marriage with a woman who loved his money more than she loved him. Shemar was very cautious of women after that. He acted very cautiously with Marita eventhough he was attracted to her. Marita was confused with Shermar's behavior. He had always been kind to her as they were growing up.

Marita and Shemar's love grew over the time they spent at the house on the island. Valerin comes after Marita and Shermar's ex-wife's cousin was a pyscho. In order for Marita and Shemar to become one, Marita had to let go of the past and so did Shemar.

Loure Bussey does a wonderful job of showing the love between Marita and Shemar. The combination of their love story and the complexities of the danger that surrounds them, makes for a great combination.

Shemar Dalton's ex-wife left him bitter and distrustful that a woman could appreciate and love him for who, not what he was. Marita Sommers was still caught in past memories of her first love Remmy, who's young life was cut short by his tragic death.

Losing her job after holding fast to her values, Marita's aunt treats her to a much needed get-away to the beautiful, tropical island of Bermuda. Staying at childhood friend Shemar's townhouse for the summer, Marita is not aware he is also there completing his latest bestseller, or how much her old friend's life has changed. Shemar's feelings for Marita were always deeper than just a friend, but her materialistic ways made him cautious of her. When his family moved away and calls and letters to her go unanswered and the ticket he sent her to his graduation is never used, their lives drifts apart but Shemar never forgot Marita.

Pam, Shemar's cousin by marriage has always loved him, now that he is divorced she is ready to seize her opportunity when Marita arrives awakening old emotions in Shemar and sparking new ones for Marita. Pam plans to destroy the beauty, she is not aware Valerian Tate has the same plan. Marieta's testimony caused 18 years of Valerian's life to be spent in prison taking the lifestyle he coveted. His mission is to make her pay.

As the island's magic works it's spell over Shemar and Marita and they discover truths and secrets of each others heart, other forces are working to keep the new lovers from their destiny. Remmy's love proves to transcend time and space as he warns Marita of the evil around her and encourages her to let new love heal her broken spirit.

Pam's jealousy and Valerian's hatred is a shadow of evil that only true love, trust, and forgiveness allow's Shemar and Marita to overcome.

Shemar Dalton thinks Marita is a gold digger and Marita is trying to piece her life together after being fired from her job as an attorney. She goes to Bermuda for some R&R and ends up falling in love and having to fight for her life. Book has a lot of passion and I actually give this book 4.5 stars.
