This book was great. I enjoyed escaping the everyday and travelling back into the past. If your someone who loves reading about adventure and who also likes a bit of romance thrown in this is the book for you.The book is in the third person format so you don't just get to see how one person feels. It goes into details of other characters thoughts as well. The main focus is on one person (Savannah) but you still get to experience what others are thinking. However let me warn you that this book will leave you wanting more.At least I did. One other thing to keep in mind is that since the book does take place in a different time period you have to realize that things were a lot different for women back in those days. What may seem trivial to us girls nowadays back then was totally different. Again I say that this is an awesome book and a great read.

Shelby Bruneau's father forced her to marry a Southern planter she didn't love. Desperate to escape, Shelby changes her name to Savannah Brown, and travels to California. Savannah doesn't plan on falling in love, though.

its a great book perfect for the young adult reader. Quick read, I had to get it and the price was more than reasonable and i recieved it quickly.

The plot was fascinating, kind of like the picture brides of the past. Fierce women are shipped to a town, believing it's a large city, only to find it be be out in the middle of nowhere. Females will love these romances, adults may also. Very graphic at times, but nothing raunchy.

Ivy was more entertaining, but this book was pretty good anyways.
