Dangerous Secrets is the second in The Walker Brothers Trilogy. I am really enjoying this series. The passion (and tension) between Julie and Luke is high. We get glimpses of the past when they were seeing each other before. Julie's past prevents her from wanting to get too close to anyone but Luke won't let that happen again. There were great sex scenes and lots of suspense. I had an idea who might be the bad guy but I never knew until the very end. Ms. Jones is great at keeping the suspense high and the bad guy a secret. I don't think I have ever guessed the right bad guy for any of her books...The ending felt a wee bit rushed for me but that might have been due to all the action coming to a head. Overall I thought this was a well written story that definitely deserves a read!

I can't wait for Blake's story. His past is so heart wrenching I am really hoping for a happy ever after for him. Until we get his story everyone go check out Dangerous Secrets and let me know what you think!

I bought Dangerous Secrets as soon as it was available and loved every word. It's fast paced, romantic suspense with passion, steam and action. What I loved most about this story was the switch from what we often see with ex-military guys-- HE had to walk away but wanted to keep in contact when he had to return to the military after his leave was finished. SHE wanted to end it with the memories of their affair, and no strings. As the story unfolds we find out why they both feel the way they do as Julie reluctantly allows Luke to help her after one of her clients puts her in danger from a drug cartel. We also get glimpses into what is happening with characters we met in the first story, which I always appreciate. Ms. Jones amazes me with her mix of action, suspense and romance. She never fails to bring her characters to life for the reader.

Lisa Renee Jones has done it again in the ( Tall, Dark and Deadly ) Series. Wow The Alpha men she has created just make you melt. I loved book 1 Hot Secrets and she has done it again with Book 2 Dangerous Secrets. I love the way this book is written. Its as if you are in the book or that know these people in your own life. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to feel the power of love and sexual chemisty that Luke & Julie have for each other. The twist and turns that you get with Lisa Renee Jones books are headturning to say the least. I give this book 5 stars only because thats as high as amazon goes its a 10 Star book ( series ).

For the price it was a good story. The characters are interesting and fall for each other nicely. While the story was nothing new, Lisa Renee just has a way with her writing that makes it special. For a quick and enjoyable read I would definitely recommend it.

This is the second book about the Walker brothers. The heroine is a divorce attorney this time. She's involved in a big divorce case. The wife of her client dies and she feels that she's being watched. Luke Walker, a former fling, came to her rescue.

It's a terrific book and you end up falling in love with the characters... Looking forward to reading the third book in the series!

I immediately purchased this book after the finishing the first and I am glad I did. This book was even better than the first. The characters are well developed (especially if you read the first book prior) and the story flows well. When she introduced a few of the characters I was concerned as to how they would tie into the story, but I was pleased to see that she was able to work them in without giving away the ending. My only complaint comes at the end. Although she wraps up all the loose ends I would have liked to see more.
Dangerous Secrets was a good read that I would recommend!

Julie Harrison fell into her position as a divorce attorney. It may not be her chosen specialty, but she is good at it. Unfortunately, divorces especially high profile ones tend to get nasty and dirty little secrets come to light. When Julie learns a threatening tidbit from her client's wife, she wonders if there is anything to worry about. However, when her client's wife ends up dead, Julie begins to wonder if she knows too much. Of course, it's bad timing since her best friend is getting married, and Julie doesn't want to inadvertently get her involved. How can she stay one step ahead of her pursuers? Who can she trust?

Luke Walker never wanted to leave Julie behind, but he had a duty to his country to fulfill. Now he is back to being a civilian, operating a private security firm with his brothers. He hopes to loosen the barrier that Julie has constructed around her heart, and since they are both in his brother's wedding, he will soon have his chance. However, when he learns about the threat to Julie's safety, he immediately offers his services and sets his men into motion. He has to be vigilant in his protection as the danger could be coming from any direction. Will he eliminate the threat before it's too late for either of them? Will he garner her affection?

Lisa Renee Jones delivers a thrilling yet sexy romantic suspense. She cultivates a story with non-stop action, amazing characters, and an intoxicating danger. Julie and Luke work rather well together, yet they are both headstrong in their ideas It was fun watching them battle each other while staying alert for any unknown threat. DANGEROUS SECRETS will rivet readers, keeping them on the edge of their seat while giving them an exciting adventure. I quickly devoured the pages, and was left wanting more. I am so looking forward to the next Walker brothers' tale.

Let me just say this. HOT HOT HOT. Lisa Renee Jones knows how to please her readers. I could'nt put this book down. Luke Walker is an ex Navy Seal who's job is protect people through Walker Security along with his 2 other HOT siblings. Luke's current job is to protect Julie; an old friend and lover who is an Divorce Attorney; that has gotten herself caught up representing a Judge; who hires Julie to help him keep his money and assets away from his soon to be ex- wife. In the turn of events the Judges wife pays Julie a visit at her law firm and clues her in on some interesting habits that the Judge has. Soon after that she winds up committing suicide; or is it murder? Julie and Luke find themselves helping each other out with a little more than legal work. Make sure you are ready for an entire day of reading.

I'm surprised that I am the first person to think this book is an average read.

It starts off well. The two main characters, Luke and Julie, have good chemistry. When the danger component is added, the story starts to get really good. Unfortunately, it goes downhill somewhere toward the middle.

First of all, the plot was far fetched. Why on earth would the sister of the victim go to the opposing team's attorney for help? What about client/attorney privilege and conflict of interest? That makes no sense, and it is never explained. Then there was the love story, which frustrated me. Julie basically had nothing going for her. She has no family, no boyfriend, few friends. All she has is a high paying job. Enter this great guy who is crazy about her, puts his life on the line for her, and she is all meh about getting involved with him. Really? I started hoping she would get shot so he could find someone better.

Then there was the ending. All of a sudden most, but not all, of the story is tied up in a neat bow. This happens within the last few pages of the book. It was so abrupt that I thought perhaps I was missing some pages. Add to that the curious editing and constant misuse of quotation marks, and this makes for a moderately enjoyable read.

Second in the "Tall, Dark, & Deadly" series. Yes, I profess I am a bad girl for reading this out of order. HOWEVER, the lack did not hinder the reading of Dangerous Secrets.

FYI - The series is aptly named. The Walker brothers are definitely "tall, dark and deadly."

Reunion book - which normally I do not like. There are a few that sneak up on me. Jones gave glimpses through either Luke or Julie on their past little fling.

Nice role reversal. Instead of the woman knowing she "loves" the man and intending for him to "realize" his feelings. The roles are reversed. It is Luke who knows he loves Julie and intending to show her that she loves him.

Luke is your Alpha male. He's hard. He is protective. Especilly when it comes to his woman!

Julie - She is use to being on her own. Now family really to speak of. So it's hard for her to see Luke with his family, seeing what she missed out in her childhood.

The story had enough action to keep a reader gripped. Though I wonder if this is the last we seen of the villian or will he appear in future books.

And Blake, if he will get a story down the line.
