She took the IRL by storm. She became the best starting and best finishing female driver in the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race. She is Danica Patrick. This racing sensation from Roscoe, Illinois took the world by surprise in May 2005 when she qualified 4th for the Indianapolis 500. Patrick is no surprise however. After racing in Europe to hone her skills in open-wheel cars, she was signed by Rahal-Letterman racing to run in the Indy Racing League. Her poise and driving skill combined with the patience of her team owner gave her the opportunity to surprise us all with her speed and media savvy.
