About the Author
Throughout high school and college Kevin Martin studied a wide range of artistic media. His love for dolphins combined with his interest in drawing have helped Kevin write and illustrate his first children's storybook, Daniel and the Ivory Princess. With the theme of "Reaching for the Stars", Kevin strives to provide positive entertainment and encourage children through his series of Daniel adventures.
Kevin Martin was born on December 31, 1966. Kevin lives in Plainfield, Illinois with his wife, Laura and son, Elias.

From Chapter 1: Once upon a tide, in a faraway place, the fiery brilliance of the afternoon sun reflected off the calm glistening waters that hugged Daniel, a stout little dolphin, while he playfully enjoyed one of natures most beautiful possessions, the mysterious sea.
Daniel, with a heart as big as his dreams, loved soaking up the sunshine, daydreaming of one day becoming one of his heroes. Maybe being the first dolphin in space, or perhaps hitting the winning home run in the Deep Sea World Series...
Daniel continued dreaming these wonderful fantasies until suddenly from under the ocean's depths, a pudgy webbed hand broke through the peaceful surface and pulled him under.
Little Daniel would become a hero sooner than he thought, as his adventure was about to begin.
