Format: Audio CD
Alpha and Omega (aka Christine Woodbridge and John Sproson) were key players in re-introducing roots dub to the people of England (both are from outside London). Their style reflected their interests in both dub as well as roots music.
Their debut lp, "Daniel In the Lion's Den," is a wonderful album of strong roots music, anchored by the surprise minor hit single "Gather Together."
Their music would become more dub oriented after this album, but for me, this lp stands as their best achievement to date, which attracted the duo a strong following in the UK and abroad. if you are interested in learning more about UK style roots reggae, this lp is as good a place as any to begin. A great debut.
