5.0 out of 5 stars 1958 & 1961: Legendary Moscow Recordings, December 3, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Daniel Pollack, Pianist: 1958 and 1961 (The Legendary Moscow Recordings) (Audio CD)
There is no doubt in my mind that this is one of the best recordings that I have listened to in years. I am a classical music lover, with special interest in piano performances. I was not sure if I was listening to Horowitz or Pollack! I was especially impressed with the maturity of emotions of each and every piece, with the connectivity of the pieces, and - although it is a pre-digital recording - with the sound, which is as clear as a bell. Considering his young age, the electricity he portrayed in those years remains steadfast in Pollack's recent recordings and concerts today, which I never miss.
