(I've purchased thousands of items on amazon and this is the first thing I've ever taken the time to rate)

I'm a school psychologist who has worked for the last 7 years teaching small social groups and helping teach others in the profession as well. This show is right on par for younger children and teaches pro-social behaviors in such a way that they don't even know they are learning. I've also been impressed as a parent of a 2.5 year old who is USING the pro-social behaviors in her world. She's generalized the social curriculum from Daniel Tiger. For example, my picky eater never used to try new foods... one day, I asked her to try and new food and she chimed in, "you gotta try new foods cause they might taste good"! Then, she ate her first avocado and has started trying a variety of new foods.

In addition to the social skills, she's learned a variety of items that are on standardized IQ tests which has also been impressive to me. Those skills are also taught in a way that are indirect enough that she's not aware she's even being taught.

Love this series.

Daniel Tiger continues the legacy of the wonderful Mr. Rogers Neighborhood for today's generation of children. Topics covered include showing empathy towards others, using the potty, and still finding something good in a situation even when things don't turn out as one had planned. All of the Mr. Rogers favorites are still around but now in cartoon form rather than actors and puppets. My little ones (2 and 5) love watching Daniel Tiger.

Any of the episodes of Daniel Tigers neighborhood are absolutely outstanding! The series is based on the episodes of the late Fred Rogers" Mr. Rogers neighborhood ". The storylines are sweet and innocent. The Lessons are morally and politely sound .My pre-school grandchildren love to watch every time they can!! I never worry that the program would be "questionable" to watch for them!

Our granddaughter, age one, loves the music to Daniel Tiger. I am big believer that small kids really should limit tv/video time. This is the only show we turn on. She stops and dances to all the songs and plays during the other times. The lessons Daniel teaches, often through song are so age appropriate. Love it!

Adorable show and I love the fact that it is based off Mister Roger's Neighborhood. My 19 month loves Daniel Tiger and gets so excited every time he gets to watch him (maybe every few days). My little boy does not care as much about the portions that are of real kids, but his attention span is obviously pretty short right now. I would definitely recommend this show. They teach lessons to deal with real problems that children face and teach kids how to face those problems or change an attitude and work with friends to make the best of situations or face fears. Practical and cute. A good show to teach and not just merely entertain. Plus, Daniel includes the children viewing in the experience by asking them questions, such as helping to find an object or make believe with him. As a first-time mom of a toddler, I am impressed with this show.

My son adores Daniel Tiger. In an age of deep cynicism, when neo-liberalism has torn asunder the values of community in favor of the gross idealization of the individual, it is good to know that there is still a space for goodness and light. Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood is that place. I think that Mr Rogers would be proud of this series. It is a gentle reminder that despite our differences, we belong to a shared humanity--that being good neighbors is not just a burden or a responsibility, it is a privilege. And what a privilege to share Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood!
