As a fan of heavy dark music, especially the sludge, doom and stoner metal genres, I must say that this album has absolutely nothing in common with those bands. But what Daniel lacks in crushing riff power, he makes up for with heart. This little guy isn't afraid to explore the dark side of human (or tiger) nature, tackling such topics as jealousy, anger, laziness, selfishness and toilet etiquette. If you're a fan of Daniel, or you just have a little tiger of your own, these songs will help you get through some tough toddler times, and they'll get stuck in your ear... like an ice pick.

If you have a young child and haven't seen Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, you should! My daughter loves it and wants to watch it all the time (though I still try to make sure she doesn't get too much screen time). The show is nicely paced (though I wish was just a tad slower), and has a great message that is easily understood an enforced.

That said, all these songs are nearly straight from the episodes themselves. They add a verse or two to a few of the songs, but that's pretty much it in term of changes.

I also have to say something in terms of the songs to their benefit. There are a lot of kids songs out there that can really grate on me (I'm looking at you Barney). These are easy enough to listen to as an adult that I'm not having the same skin crawling feeling from them. They're catchy and cute but not cavity cute. As any parent with a child that like to do the same thing over and over and over and over again, that's a sanity saver.

The music & the message on this "album" is g-r-r-r-r-r-e-a-t! I listen to the music myself sometimes. My favorite track is "It's Such A Good Feeling!" Uga-muga!

With all the annoying children's music that's available out there, it's nice to find an album like this. My 15 month old son loves listening to these songs- finally, something to keep him quiet and entertained in the car!

The music is bright and cheerful but definitely not overly sugar-coated. I appreciate the fact that they use a variety of instruments and have put enough effort into the orchestration of the music so that it doesn't sound overly-simplistic like most kids' music (because overly simplistic = mind-numbing after you've listed to a song for the 20th time in a week).

I love the lessons too- they're practical and fun sayings like... 'when you feel so mad that you want to roar- just take a deep breath and count to four'. (Cute. Probably easier said than done, but it's worth a shot!)

My two year old and I both love Daniel Tiger! Each song is a "musical strategy" for dealing with a difficult situation or emotion, all based on Mister Roger's fabulous curriculum. They get caught in your head, which is exactly the point, in the hopes that you and your kids will remember them at the appropriate moment.

My son is a Daniel Tiger fan. We all love him. There is nothing I would change about the program. He's learned so much! I just wish there were more songs. Some important ones are missing.

My kids LOVE Daniel. They sang his songs all the time, so it was nice to have something to sing along with (and, more than just the same part of the chorus each time, over and over again).

I believe this includes all the songs from the first season.

The music is the same as what's on the show and my kids love the show! The songs have a wonderful message and catchy beats that we all enjoy! My kids sing along and learn at the same time!
