1.0 out of 5 stars Drivel.
This is compelte drivel - with ideas 'borrowed' from Douglas Adams, Star Trek and many others - and then completly messed up - turned a 5 hr trip into a lifetime. Maybe okay for under 10 years of age, otherwise spare yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Teenage boys and long trips, October 6, 2009
This review is from: Daniel X: Watch the Skies (Audio CD)
I was desperately looking for something to listen to in the car on a long road trip with my two teenage and one pre-teen sons. I stumbled across this audio CD while rushing through the store for other lost essentials on the way out of town and grabbed it on the fly.

What a great choice! My boys loved it and actually "shushed" me several times during the story, so they could hear! There's no bad language or horrible violence (don't get me wrong... there is violence, just not the terrible kind so many books tote). It was funny and age appropriate. You even caught us all saying the same name to each other when the author is describing certain teen profiles. Anything that helps a parent bond with their teen is a good thing. On a long car trip... even better!

I've even ordered the first book on audio, so our next long trip will be just as much fun. :-) Thank you Mr. Patterson & Mr. Rust for providing such great teen humor, and thank you Mr Ventimiglia (my favorite hero) for such a great reading too!

5.0 out of 5 stars A thrill ride from start to finish, highly recommended, August 13, 2009
This review is from: Daniel X: Watch the Skies (Audio CD)
Bestselling mystery author James Patterson and "Rolling Stone" magazine writer Ned Rust team up to present Daniel X Watch the Skies, an unabridged audiobook adventure pitting Daniel X against a virtually demonic television personality whose drive for fame endangers the population of a town - and potentially much more. The whole world is at risk from the villain's desire for an extreme grand finale, and Daniel himself braves danger at every turn in a desperate attempt to stop the devastation! A thrill ride from start to finish, highly recommended. 4 CDs, 4.5 hours.

5.0 out of 5 stars Daniel X: Watch the Skies, December 8, 2009

We read the first book as a family. We took the book on CD with us on a road trip over Thanksgiving. It and other CD books made the drive much less tiring. Oh, and the story is just plain fun form my 2 pre-teen children and me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wrong item sent made right by vendor, February 28, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Daniel X: Watch the Skies (Audio CD)
I had ordered the James Patterson audio CD of "Daniel X - Watch the Skies" but had been sent something else instead. After speaking with the vendor they apologized for the mix up, explained they didn't have a replacement at this time, returned the credit to my account (faster than they had stated actually) and informed me I didn't have to return the CD I had gotten instead. (I actually donated that CD to my local library.) Although I didn't get what I had ordered, the company was very quick to respond to the problem and as a result I am more than willing to work with them again. Kudos to their support and customer service team. Regards,
Lance Scott
