Daniel X is back and is an alien-fighting hero on the hunt for Number Two. Except, Daniel is an alien who uses his powers for good. In this volume, he learns even more about the background of The List of aliens he hunts and how his parents came to be involved before they were murdered.

The story begins when Daniel is trying to spy on Number Two only to have his cover blown by Number 30. As Daniel dispatches the evil alien, he has to run from Number Two who then threatens Armageddon with attacks on major cities all over the world and the capture of humans for slavery.

He relaxes with his four imaginary friends, Joe, Dana, Emma and Willy, who talk to him and even help him fight. They are based on friends from his home planet that were killed. When he and his group of four are enjoying an extreme trip to an amusement park, they are captured by an unusual section of the FBI. Daniel blinks out his friends and is taken to Kansas to meet with his new spiritual advisor, Xanthos. The mentor's advice is at times confusing but wise, and to make the experience even more surreal, Xanthos is a horse. Then he meets Mel, the daughter of Agent Judge who owns the Kentucky farm where Daniel and Xanthos now train and prepare to fight Number Two.

The short chapters and steady action make this a fun read, especially for boys. Science fiction thrillers and alien titles are rare in current fiction trends and ARMAGEDDON fills that gap well. Daniel is relateable with his funny commentary and crushes on both Dana and Mel even with his powers and alien-hunting. Younger teens will especially enjoy this title and the series.

I have three sons who have read through this series (ages 13, 12 and 9 years). Good for boys - quick read but keeps their interest. Thanks Amazon!

this book is drastically different than the last 4 books. readers have grown accustomed to a basic (though loveable) plot so when this books throws in new variables (FBI, the devil, the Bible, and a new love) it appeals to a different type of reader. I personally thought the symbolism of good verses evil was great and adding in human help was a good idea. Though it
doesn't make up for the axing of two beloved characters and the adding of several cheesy new ones. This book also has few references to previous books and claims the prayer (numero uno on the list) is a god. Overall this book is not worth paying for
