It was a fast read as I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. Thought the detail on number 2's origins was great. Daniel really matured in this book and I look forward tohis next aventure. Would recommend this to all the Daniel X fans!

I have three sons who have read through this series (ages 13, 12 and 9 years). Good for boys - quick read but keeps their interest. Thanks Amazon!

this book is drastically different than the last 4 books. readers have grown accustomed to a basic (though loveable) plot so when this books throws in new variables (FBI, the devil, the Bible, and a new love) it appeals to a different type of reader. I personally thought the symbolism of good verses evil was great and adding in human help was a good idea. Though it
doesn't make up for the axing of two beloved characters and the adding of several cheesy new ones. This book also has few references to previous books and claims the prayer (numero uno on the list) is a god. Overall this book is not worth paying for

My 11 year old son and I read these novels togther. Without giving away any plot spoilers, let's just say Daniel goes up against his most challenging foe yet and along the way confronts similarly formitable emotional challenges as well. The plot, as religiously charged as it is at times, was handled with care and the story well told. One of the best yet. Don't know how this one's going to be topped....? we can't wait for the next installment!

Daniel X is a departure from Patterson's usual novels about crime, murder & mayhem. Daniel X is an other than normal super teen-age alien, placed on earth to protect the planet. Don't know if I would have bought it if I'd known the subject area, but since I did, I can recommend it as a very pleasant read. It's also similar to what other authors are also doing - departing their normal realms to show their versatality - i.e. Grisham, Baldacci, etc.

This is the most exciting one yet! I can't get over the fact that Abbadon is the devil. Great book, very easy read, liked the plot and climax. I do wish it was a little longer, had a little more into maybe Daniels love life or something.
