A Lesser Known Danielle Steel Movie,
By Movie Nut (New York USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Danielle Steel's Now & Forever (DVD)
This film is not known as widely as some of the other films based on the novels of Danielle Steel most likely because it was not shown on commerical TV. Released in 1983, this film is rated PG-13 due to the subject matter (rape). I originally read the book when it first came out years ago and loved it! The film is very faithful to the novel. Cheryl Ladd is beautiful as ever and does a fantastic job portraying the 'wronged wife'- This is one of the darker stories by Danielle Steel, but does have the romantic story line that she is famous for. I would highly recommend this movie for the adult viewer.

Danielle Steel's Now & Forever,

A good story line and Cheryl Ladd is, as always, magic in this movie. She is a strong, loving wife who has been betrayed by her husband but she stands by him regardless and in the end love prevails. Great entertainment!

Disappointed Danielle Steel Fan Rates Film a FLOP!!,
By ManningGal "TnBFan4LIFE" (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Danielle Steel's Now & Forever (DVD)
I am a Danielle Steel fan from way back. I have nearly every book in her collection to date & nearly every film on DVD and/or VHS tape. And, I have to say this is the WORST in the film series. I honestly can say it is not worth the price of admission. Of course, this is only my opinion & I am sure there are fans out there that do & will enjoy it. But, as a fan of the books & movies, I have to comment on how subpar this film is in comparison to the others and how disappointed I was that it does not live up to the Danielle Steel standard.

Very dated,

This review is from: Danielle Steel's Now & Forever (DVD)
I found this Danielle Steel movie to be a disapointment. It was very dated and not nearly as good as her other films. I think this was probably the first ever one realised and it really shows. Is ok to watch once but would not recommend it to anyone who would expect more from this film as I don't think it did the book justice.

Not sure if it is, but it should be rated R,
This review is from: Danielle Steel's Now & Forever (DVD)
My wife is a very devoted fan of Danielle Steele. There have been very few of her works that my wife has been disappointed (such as Family Album). As for the movies, Now and Forever is the one movie she absolutely does not want (along with Family Album). I have watched it with her and have to agree with her. The movie is way too intense for one of Danielle Steel's typical movies. I am not sure if it is rated 'R', but it definitely should be. The sex scene may not have any nudity, but the intenseness of the intercourse deserves the 'R' rating. The acting throughout the movie is subpar at best. Cheryl Ladd could not rescue this movie and should have never agreed to do it in the first place. Collect the other Danielle Steel movies, but I would recommend passing on this one.

Reason to watch: ROBERT COLEBY!,
This review is from: Danielle Steel's Now & Forever (DVD)
Forget Danielle Steel. Forget Cheryl Ladd. The ONLY reason to view this flick is ROBERT COLEBY. Early on in the film, Robert is seen sitting in an outdoor cafe, drinking. A somewhat chunky, average looking woman can't take her eyes off of him (understandably so!) She buys him a drink, gets him to take her home and proceeds to devour him in what is probably the hottest sex scene ever in a "PG-13"-rated film. Although they both remain clothed, the groping and panting and deep, open-mouthed kissing is so passionate --- well, 90% of porn videos aren't this hot. Of course, everything else in the film is the usual "hell that a woman in love must suffer" stuff. But why, WHY didn't Coleby become a major star after this?

Isn't she the wife of Michael Steel, chairman of the RNC?,

I'm pretty sure they're married. I could've sworn Michael was the inspiration behind many of her male characters.

Disappointed,
By
This review is from: Danielle Steel's Now & Forever (DVD)
I was disappointed in this movie. It must have been one of Cheryl Ladd's very first movies. Cheryl Ladd is one of my favoriate actresses but I was disappointed in her performance though she was the best of the lot and the quality of the film was poor. Story line predictable.
