A Real Tear Jerker!, August 13, 1999

I loved this movie, almost as much as the book. I stayed up until 2 am watching it for the 5th time the other night. In my opinion, this is the best of all Danniel Steel's books. The movie was wonderful! A must see for all Steel fans!!!!!!

One of my favorites, July 5, 1999

I loved this miniseries. The book was fantastic and I eagerly awaited a T.V. adaption. I was not disappointed! I thought the length was right and was relieved that they didn't cram the whole story into a 2 hour movie. Paxton's journey from naive girl to worldly writer is filled with twists and turns, and Jenny Robertson did a wonderful job of conveying this woman's resiliency. Ted Marcoux made an excellent Tony Campobello. Another plus: the writers inserted some voice-overs from Pax's column. The book sorely needed some text from these oft-mentioned articles. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is because they messed with the ending a bit. Tony didn't look DIRTY enough. In the book he was a wreck after 5 years as an MIA, but here he looked ready to bench press.

A great love story, March 15, 2005
This review is from: Danielle Steel's Message From Nam (DVD)
This was an adventurous love story with twists and turns. I was eager to see what was happening next. Great story line. It has "re-watch ability". Great romance for a "chick flick" and enough action for men to enjoy as well. Watch it!
