This book has no pronunciation guides, and is therefore useless for the English learner of Danish. Also, the book lacks basic gender labelings, and other information that the English speaker needs to properly acquire Danish language usage.

This appears to have been written for Danish speakers, because pronunciation cues are in the English section only!

Pronunciation is the hardest part of learning Danish, and a book that can't help you with that is pretty much useless.

Save your money and get a better dictionary. This one may be fine for casual use, but a serious student of Danish would be better served by a more comprehensive dictionary.

As another reviewer has suggested, this dictionary was edited in Denmark and will be most useful to users whose native language is Danish. The number of Danish words translated to English is much smaller than the number of English words translated to Danish. (However, the English-to-Danish portion of the dictionary is quite useful to English-language users seeking word or phrase roots for English expressions in Danish.) Although described as a "practical" dictionary, the word bank of Danish expressions is at least ten years old. Business and Internet terms are noticably lacking. Online translation tools are superior to this dictionary.

I found this dictionary to be the most helpful reference out there for a cheap price. I recommend this dictionary to anyone who wants to learn Danish the easy way
